Very threatening message.

received a call like this yesterday saying that there was fraud asscociated with my ss and I need to call right away,. however they say they need my address and my work address...if you need all of that....you dont need me....big scam...

Been receiving calls from this number & others about fraud charges against me & my ss#.
I did call one back & said I'd like to settle the account. Surprise....they do not take check, they do not have a website you can pay on, they only want your card number over the phone!!........................NOT!!

same recorded message that has come from other numbers, you can't call it back, they leave wrong names with a case number.  Seems like a total scam.

threatening call   going to be sued must call back at once.  

I keep on getting calls from this number saying that they need my address and my business address so they can serve me with papers since I have not got ahold of them so I could settle the matter out of court. The funny thing is this, if they some how got my number then they should be able to serve me papers at my home address and not need me to call them back.. Any advise out there?????

This guy says his name is John Clark.  He is Asian.  He says he's from the Fraud division of the Dept. of Justice.  He calls my cell and my work number.  He uses numbers from NJ usually, this number is from DE.  He was calling incessantly a month ago, and cursing out people I work with.  He went away for awhile, but today he called my cell, left a message, and then called my work number.  

Calls from this number are a scam to just get your CC information. Called and they asked for my SSN and my address... No not respond to them.

If this organization was legit they would announce their name. They called my home phone, fraud against me and my SSN, call the legal department before I'm served at my home or work, total automatic robot call, not a person, asks for the wrong name, leaves a case number. Read the other posts sounds like a scam, wants information, if they had the address (since they called a phone number) papers would have come if this was legit. Block it, this is phishing.
All should report them to the CFPB, go to the website and file a complaint, it will be investigated.

Got a call from them saying I am being sued in court for an unpaid payday loan taken out 3 years ago. The woman was very nice and spoke as a professional who claimed to be from a law firm and was very knowledgeable. I do not recall taking out a loan. She told me I needed to settle this myself with my credit card in order to avoid being summoned to court.
She had my SSN, address, full bank acount numbers, address, work address and phone numbers. She had everything! She told me that if I didn't do this, that someone else has all of my information and is using it. How am I supposed to know if this is real?!?!?

Got a call from this number. It was a recording that said that two counts of fraud had been attached to my social security number and that I would be "served in my county". It told me to contact them in order to settle the charges before going to court. No doubt a scam.

Got same call last week from a different number stating there are 2 accounts of fraud against my ss#, they have been reported

Got the same message & decided to call it back. Asked the person who answered the phone how did he sleep at night, stealing money from innocent people. Needless to say he hung up on me pretty fast.

Called both my cell AND my work number to leave threatening message about fraudulent activity.  Is there any way to put an end to these scammers??

Extremely dubious call from this number. Pre-recorded message. No organization name given and they want me to call them back so they can serve me papers about fraudulent activity...because they have a case against me, but they don't know where I live...this is a scam

PEOPLE NEED TO ID THEMSELF EVEN IF THEY ARE FOR A DEPT BECAUSE ITS AGAINST THE LAW TO TELL SOMEONE THE ARE GOING TO JAIL FOR FRAUD OF SOME KIND IF ITS THE STATE THEY HAVE WHAT THEU NEED TO COME AND GET YOU DONT GIVE ANY CARDS NUMBERS OVER THE PHONE.SCAM

They are trying to scam you. Nothing has to be done right away over the phone. They are required by laws in every state to provide written proof of who they are and who they represent. If they seriously have your full banking details and SS# (Not just last 4 digits or the name of your bank. Remember they could just be guessing) then you have a real problem. Contact your bank immediately and get all your cards and accounts changed, and change all your passwords. Setup 2 step verification on everything! Most importantly your primary email account.

Just got a voicemail from this place and sounds just like the ones posted within the last couple of hours.  Saying there was fraudulent activity against my name and SSN and to call before charges are filed in my county and my rights will be waived if I do not call before papers are served at my home or place of employment. They do not give a company name.

Received an automated call that went to voice mail. Very threatening. Claimed  there was fraudulent activity against my name and SSN and to call before two charges are filed in my county. If I don't call before the summons is received at  place of employment, my rights will be waived. They do not give a company name.
If this is a credit card company, the would have my home address and they would identify me by name.
FRAUD!

I have gotten the same message about an hour ago as all of you have... how do you stop this... Thanks
