These people have called my home 2 times within the past week. No answer when I pick up phone and no answer when I call back. Caller ID lists them as "North American". I wish they would stop calling. Yes,how do you block this type of call?

Said I was going to be harmed.

These jerks call me everyday.  At first they asked for "James" and I told them no one lived here by that name.  Now they just call and hang up when the phone is answered.

Called house three times.  We are on a no-call list.  They just don't seem to understand what that means

said they were a company selling household goods for handicapped people. Used a humble spiel, tried to say that selling ligt bulbs helped them live independently. Really tried to lay on the guilt. It was some black guy. Used the handicapped line.

Called our home, left no message. When we called back the number was disconnected.

This number has called several times, but they hang up as soon as we answer.
I tried calling using my cell phone, but the operator comes on and says that "call cannot be completed as dialed."

The girl that called me, was on one of the call dailer a computer that connects once a person asks the phone. She asked for Sheryl, her voice was that of a handicapped person, I explained I had no money to give and she hang up.
I don't know if this is proper or not but I this is wrong.  
And the don't call list doesn't apply because it is charity.

Arvada CO appears on my caller id.  No one said anything when I answered.  I'm going to put a whistle by the phone and blow it in their ear the next time they call.

Got call from above # this morning. Couldn't call back on cell. Was concerned due to having family out there.

The whistle thing used to work; but so many unwanted callers turned in claims for injured ear drum that the telephone indutry (as a whole) put a volume monitor on all phones manufactured, going forward 1985. HOWEVER, I've found that reading aloud either the Bible, or the most boring book you have on hand.  They don't call back!!!

This number 303-423-2605 from Arvado, Colorado, called and left a message that I couldn't understand.  The voice sounded mechanical.  When I called back, the number had been disconnected.

Today is August 25, 2010 and just got a call from this number.  I went to answer and they hung up.  Caller ID said Arvada, CO.  What's unusual is that when I went to dial them back, I got a recording that says the number has been disconnected.  I tried again and it happened again.

This number called today. When my answering machine picked up, I could hear people in the background but no one ever spoke. Caller ID says Arvada, CO

Same for me...stop calling if you don't want to talk!

answered and waited long time and nothing - only answered as we knew people in arvada and it is the holidays thought maybe a well wisher was calling us... not!
