Had a call from this number also and he said his name was Mike Cizbatta and that he was from the Colorado Attorney Generals office and investigating credit card fraud.   Scary because i just had my card number stolen but left another number to call him back on 303-866-2957 but if you google that number it's for a state senator.  Also weird that this number (on my caller ID) gives you a message that it's been disconnected and is no longer in service although if you google it it says it's from the Colorado Attorney Generals office.  Not a warm fuzzy here and smells like a scam and the folks who stole my credit card may be contacting me to try and get more info since I reported the card as compromised to my bank.

The number apparently is a catch-all number that shows up when someone calls from a Colorado State government agency. My call was from state collections and was legitimate.

Tried to return call within 24 hrs. but number no longer in service. Something smells scammy here.

This number called at 8:30 AM and I didn't get it. When I checked my VM they said that they were CO State Government and asked for me by my first middle and last name and left some other number to call back on from 8-5. Caller did not identify himself or leave an extension or any other info. Seems fishy.

There's nothing fishy about this number.  It's not a scan or a spoof.

It's the switchboard number that shows up when anyone from Colorado State Government calls.  It could be anyone from the Department of Revenue to Central Collections.  It's not a live number that you can call back.  So when someone leaves a different number on your voicemail to call back, it's because their actual number does not match what shows up on caller ID.  To the post above that got a call from the Attorney General's Office, that was an actual criminal investigator that works for the AGO.

I work for the State.  That's how I have this information.  These calls are legitimate and a State department may be calling you for any number of reasons.

I work for the State and I received several calls from this number. I have not answered any of them nor have they left a message. Um, that's what voice mail is for. If they do not leave a message I figure that it is not worth my time to answer when they keep calling back.

They said they were from the state and that I had a parking ticket and some other kind of ticket and also owed a school. They said they sent the information to an address I no longer live at. He really had me scared. I haven’t had that car in months! When I went to call back, the number was no longer in service.

This is a catch all number from The State of Colorado- Central Collections or Department of Revenue-  They should always leave a call back #303-866-XXXX and a reference number.

This number has numerous times called at different times of the day......I don't answer any calls anymore that I do not recognize......and especially if they don't leave a message.....not important to me......I called the State of Colorado, Legal office of the Governor......he said that he didn't even recognize that number,,,,,,,..SCAM!!!

It’s a legitimate number from a state department. If you call it back it won’t lead anywhere so the person calling usually gives you a different number to call back on. Mine was with someone I did meet for an interview.

Received a call from this number, it was the Colorado Department of Personnel & Administration calling about a job I had applied for.
