did not answer, not home, called twice so far..

Has called my home phone about 17 times. Never leaves a msg.

they are a professional fundraising outfit called TeleFund. They claim a clients list of liberal causes, but who really knows? One way to defeat liberals is to collect their money and give it to the opposition. Seems like  this "Private Caller" is trying to hide something, or is ashamed or at least being evasive. Mine works out of Colorado where you get the Crackpot Christian Right...crackpots  who will lie, murder, break laws (Jesus never spake the word "democracy")  and perform unspeakable acts of spiritual warfare  for Christ.  I picked up one of these calls  and asked to speak to the manager, the guys pulls a classic and says "Actually I'm the manager." Telemarketers...there's your quota of new Marines.

I received 7 phone calls from this telephone number over the weekend. There is no message.

Someone from this number has been calling me several times every day for about two weeks now. Sometimes the calls are only minutes apart. Some have been very early, some later in the evening. Since I screen calls and never pick up unless I recognize a number I haven't answered. But they don't leave a message and are getting quite annoying.

These [***] call about once a week.  They never leave a message.
Can we track them down and stop them once and for all?

Yup - thet are now harrassing me.  They called 4 times today, 2 times yesterday and at least one other time that I remember. I too am on the Do Not Call list.  If I didn't initiate the call, I don't want it or want to contribute to it.  Harrassing me isn't going to change my mind or open my wallet.  How do I stop these calls?

Must have a working email to register is all that is required.....

this number calls me at least 4 times a day!  Who is it and why do they call???  AND how do I STOP it???

Received calls once or twice a day for a week or more.  Looked up on Google and number is from Telefund, Inc.  They list as clients many political and nonprofit organizations.

I started receiving several calls a day from this number recently.  I wish I could stop it.

This number called and I answered and there was just silence on the other end. So I hung up.

Called on a Friday night!

Get a call from this number 5-6 times a day. Finally answered and asked to take a message. Caller would not leave one. I told them, "If you're calling 5 times a day, it must be pretty urgent, so please leave a message." She said she would call back and hung up on me.

I called back and spoke "Whitney" who explained they are a call center contracted by not for profits to call their donor lists. I explained to Whitney I do not donate to charities that solicit donations by telephone, and to to please remove my number from the list. She assured me they would not be calling again.

I also asked "Whitney" to go through the call logs to determine who called my number last and let them know I am filing a formal complaint with the Colorado Secretary of States office, since I am on the Do Not Call list and according to the Do Not Call law, the ONLY organizations that may contact me via telephone are the organizations with whom I dealt with directly, NOT contractors or vendors of those firms so they are in direct violation of the law and I intend to pursue it.

I suggest you ALL call this number back repeatedly with that message and do the same thing I am.....

Ok people - I just got my first call from this number, (303) 894-0456, last night.  The caller ID said "private name", but it listed the phone number.  I was curious, so I answered.  Not to mention - if you ignore the phone calls completely, their computer will keep your phone number as one that has not made contact (I heard that from a telemarketer once); thereby continuing to "harrass" you.  

Anyway, the lady I spoke with was actually very nice & did not seem to mind my sarcasm one bit.  I had a hard time getting her off the phone w/t being rude (I actually told her I was bordering on getting rude).  I told her I had no money to donate to the cause; I don't donate over the phone anyway; & I did not have the time to hear about it either - all w/t being rude. I didn't even have to ask her for company information - she offered it.  She even told me straight up that she was calling from Denver, Colorado.

All you have to do is ask them who they work for and get a phone number to check it out.  If they refuse, tell them to take your name off their list immediately; then hang up.  If they oblige in giving you the information you request, get on the web & look it up.  Believe it or not, in this case, the company was actually legit.  I was surprised b/c often they are just like you guys say - telemarketers or illegal operations trying to hide behind non-profits.

These guys are actually who they say they are:  Telefund, Inc.; and non-profits hire them to make the phone calls to raise money.  As far as the Do Not Call thing goes, I'm not sure if they are really supposed to be calling.  Technically, THEY are not non-profits (I don't think), but ALL of their clients are non-profits.  There must be some kind of loophole that allows them to get around the Do Not Call thing.  But, at any rate, it won't kill you to answer the phone & ask them to take you off their list.  That seems to be the only thing that works.  I used to just ignore all the unfamiliar numbers & the unavailables & unknowns; then a while back, I decided to start answering them & now, my phone hardly ever rings - it's wonderful.

Non-profits organizations, and corporate entities when they are making calls on their behalf, are not covered under the do-not-call list.  I learned this when I was working in a very small company that called people who had previously had transactions with a non-profit organization.

We've received 21 calls from this number over the past week.  We never answer.  It's become a sort of game...
