Received a call from this number each day for the last three. No response when answered. Just a hang-up. Does anyone know what the is scam here?

Received a call from 303-968-1620 marked Denver, Colorado.  I will not answer calls that can't identify the caller on caller ID.

Called this number, message identified them as 'Quality Contacts'.  'Annoying Caller' is more appropriate.

I got several calls from this number over the past three days, but they always hang up when I pick up.  I called it back and got a message saying it is not in service. Talk about annoying!

I just got a call from this number and couldn't answer because I was on a conference call on the other line.  I didn't recognize it --which is why I checked here.  Glad I did because I would've been really mad had I left my conference call to answer this nonsense!!!

I get several kinds of these local hang-ups. My theory is that this is a service some company offers, to determine who will pick up their phone during what times, and then sells this information to other marketers and pollsters.

I agree.  I answered, male asked for me by my formal first name.  I said "speaking" and he immediately hung up.  If you call back a recording says "# not in service", so that number is spoofed.

I finally answered this call, early afternoon.  Name just shows, "Denver".  They asked for my husband by name.  Said they are an inspection service that checks things out on the outside of your house for service/repair... Such as windows, gutters, etc.  I think they have done targeted research on who you are, where you live and what your home phone number is.  Plus, possibly digging for information on who's home during the day.  We don't answer the phone very often and this is why!  Creeps!

They just called again.  Caller ID = Denver. And hung up as I answered.

They just called again (they called 5 hrs ago) despite the fact that I told them not to call again and to take us off their lists!

Received a call and called back only to find out the number is no longer in service. They either are not using their number to make the calls or they have a recording on their answer machine that says they are no longer in service. As I have had a slew of roofers wanting to check my roof, I was wondering if it is a call to see if the homeowner is home so they can rob the place. I was told they wanted to check my roof today at 3 but since I receive so many calls from all kinds of sales people, I am not sure if the person I talked to yesterday was from the 3039681620 number or a different number. I will watch out for the people who say they are coming to the area and get the number off of the car or truck and call the local PD with the number. I hope they are not trying to steal from this neighborhood as they will be torn up by a couple of the dogs on this street.

Received call at 8:30pm (a little late), asked for first name and I asked who was calling and he hung up

I keep getting this call she says she's from excel and they gave her my number, but the number she calls is not on my excel account. I told her to take me off her list. She called me rude and a [***] and when I asked for her manager she hung up! I wish there was something we could do. I also call it back and it says the numbers not in service. How is that possible!

Annoying caller. 5 times in last few days

I just had the same experience.  They called earlier today and hung up.  This time they asked for my husband by name, they said they were and inspection service and as they were talking disconnected the phone- weird!!!

When you see the number just answer it with hitting the # key about 40 times.  You won't have to do this more than 2-3 times before their auto dialer will remove you from the list as a disconnected number

The woman asked for me by name then acted like it was Excel Energy, my power company wanting to give me a free energy audit.  She kept saying Excel has found that so many percentage of homes do not have sufficient insulation.  I know that Excel charges for their audit so I kept questioning if she was really calling from Excel.  She said" they were authorized as a contractor recognized by Excel". Since I have never done any business with her, I reminded her that this was an illegal call and I would not do business with anyone calling illegally or engaged in deception.  She told me that my number rolls off the no call list and she could call me.  I checked. I am still registered. This is scary that they know people's names and are trying to get into homes.

Rude jerk. Hung up abruptly when I told him to put me on do not call list.
