    I called back, and it is the VIP Shopper's Club. They  mentioned I qualified for a $50 gas card, membership to a savings club, and 2 free dvds. They mentioned that they only needed $2.97 for shipping. Could they please have my credit card numbers. They would not state who they were. The foreign dialect, and the West Virginia area code were red flags.

    Did any of you register your phone number  with Walgreens  or some other shopper rewards program?  My call came a half hour after registering my number with Walgreens.

    Yes, I  was offered  a Visa gift  card by recording, asked  to hold (because my call is very important, of course), promised to be attended to by "the next available  operator", yada yada.
