Who is this? Anyone know?

does anyone know what company this belongs too? they left a disturbing message, saying its a civil investigations unit, informing me about a compaliant filed against me, or i was named in a court action, that i have to inform my attorney etc. that i have 24-48 hrs to oppose the issue. they even gave an affidavit number. that i have to appear in court?!? i live in california, this number is in virginia! if this is a scam i would like to report them to a government agency.

just got the same call; it is a scam. google, "report a scam", i also got a call last week saying i won $500,000 dollars. I think it's when i signed up at the pleasanton fairgrounds to win a trip that all this started happening. Did you happen to go the fair too?

Received a call from  304 400-6117 with saying the same thing about a court date and let my attorney know.

It must be a scam of some sort .  

304 is a West Virginia area code.

where do i go to file a complaint?
it almost gave me a heart attack,
they should not be allowed to do this to people.

i signed up fpr the Do-Not-Call registry and they arein violation of that.

. None of this is valid to my knowledge when I return the call I was given an automated system and then told that my call cannot be transferred and hung up on.i

A Robo call stating I have a complaint against me gave the Affidavit # that I have to appear but did not say in court.. call is coming from Charleston WV. Called both me cell# and work # back to back .. seems to be a new scare tactic being used by the payday scammers.. Same MO also stated that I should send to Attorney per "order toshow" and i have 24-48 hours and ended with "Have a nice day"

I guess this is there way trying to trick us thinking they are not Indian!!!

I actually called the number back but made my # private. I talked to a Derrick Morris he ID'd the company as American Document Services. Said he was a litigator and then said he was a resolution officer and that I needed my complaint number for other information. I actually did not have it handy but questioned him more. The following info is what I got from him.

They only give out a mailing address of PO Box1421, Charleston, WV, Refused physical address even with me probing more. I asked where do I send a payment to and interesting he stated they do not take payments. I asked him how do I know if they are a legit company He said they do services for numerous companies but refused to state any (maybe I'll try calling acting like a creditor wanting to give them business). He finally hung up.

Interesting points:
1. They called originally on 2 # that I had previously used for payday lenders. They called back to back just like the PAYDAY loan scammers have done (also Purdie & Associates did the same thing).
2. They called with a ROBOCALL. Very illegal especially when they state all info of what will happen to me without verifying who I am.
3. They have a complaint for a court appearence. Intersting when you do get notified about being sued it comes via certified mail via the post office and you do not get a call.
4. When you call they have 3 options:
 a. press 1 if you your bank account was frozen or if you property was seized.
b. press 2 if you received a call with message about a suti (or something like that)
 c. press 3 if you want settle out of court.
5. When I called the 1st time I pressed 2 and it said your call can not be completed at this time. The second call I pressed 1 and that is when I talked to Derrick. After he hung up I called back and pressed 3 and got the same message as when I pressed 2. I tried one more time and pressed 1 again and got same message.

I will continue to find info on this so called company.

I received the message on my machine, but they also called my parents looking for me.  I actually did get in contact with someone who called himself Mr. Hall or Mr. Hill....he said that I'd apparently failed to pay for something with the Schwan company back in 2006.  Eerily, he was able to recite a portion of my social security number and also knew what street I'd lived on in 2006, but the fact of the matter is I have never ordered from the Schwan company and wasn't able to get any more details....  I'd advised him that I have never ordered from them, but he told me that I'd be receiving information regarding my hearing which I'd need to appear for and I could tell it to the judge....guess we'll see what happens.  If anything comes of this, I'll post more.

It's a Joke that some one played On us a friend or family member.. gave your number and name and then that company sells it..

They called my parents house saying I have a restraining order against me. I just googled this number and IM PISSED. I dont owe anyone any money and I certainly am not a person that would have a restraining order placed against me. This phone number is FULL OF SH*T Dont worry about it. If they really had anything on anyone they would certainly send a notice in the mail, at best from a court house.

It is a collection agency....ask them who ya owe. Got same call Derek Moore 1,2,3 deal. They must tell ya who ya owe... they are listed under Better Business Bureau at that number also address. Tried makin me pay and give bank acct number said no way I'll send check wouldn't accept that. Told them see ya in court...do know how legal they are???? it's not a prank call scam i don't know...only other thing is when I said I make payment they transferred me to Credit Source Brooklyn, Ohio 44144 street address of 4758 Ridge Road Suite 173. They are the ones who asked for acct number go figure...but when I refused to give acct. the other guys called me back threatening court...defraud and anything else felony etc...don't know what to think....

Yes Hello I just had someone call me from this morning on my work phone stating it was a cailm filed against me and left me a reference number told I had 24hrs to get my lawyer to contact them. Then when I call the number the number it say you have reach the American Documents Service please press 1-3 for the following matter so press# which is message pending  legal matter then it goes straight hang up dial tone. Last week I spoke with someone was in regards the birth control Yaz I was taking stating I could file against them inregards to the side effect. I told them I don't even use the pill anymore I only used it for one month and got off track with taking them. So I really don't have any side effects. I think this a SCAM!!!!

received a call from this company today stated name was american document services that a complaint was filed against me and a restraining order was issued because I owed a company called Ten Dollar Payday Loan and how would I like to handle it, informed him that I paid this debt already with another company and that I have a letter verifying my debt is settled in full he still said okay how do you want to handle this in court or out of court I told him to send it to court also received a phone call from 888-202-9588 about the same company when I faxed the letter to them they said the account numbers dont match i said okay well give me the company Ten Dollar Payday loans phone number so I can call them directly he stated he didnt have it??? So how do you get in contact with them he stated he doesnt know something really fishy is going on here.

This number called me 304-400-6117, I'm not well I don't need this type of calls. I owe a loan for $800 I couldn't even get a loan for  that amount. They will see me in court.

i got the same call from theses guys they either are a scam or they ar a collection agency  personaly i think they are a scam a agencey has to validate the debt by mail not call and threaten court actions then once you recieve the validation you then have 30 days to respond with no phone call before that 30 days tha is straight from the FDCA they can not call you and threaten in any way what so ever when i talked to them they were rude and i was hung up the first time then the second person wanted me to make a payment of half and he would send me an e-mail, not good enough then it was a certified letter but i had to make payment today by 5:30 pm so alredy knowing its a scam cause he couldnt give me an exact orginal creditor i told him i will see what i can do hung up about half hour latter i called and said by strong advice from my attorney not to give not even a penny and that i want a debt validation on a printed letter head and copies of the orginal document that has my physical siganutere on sent to me by certified mail and if they do not do that and i get served a summons i will hand that summons to my attorney and he will take it from there the the said ok but do you still bank with such and such bank i told him it was none of his bussines and i will not give him no more information and told him to have a good day i have been dealing with scammers all year do not accept any validation by e-mail because any one can put any thing in a e-mail, i truely believe this is a scam and hope this reply gives you some relief

Just answered a call from this same number for my dad who is not in good health. No way in hell he would have a restraining order against him. People will do anything to get an account number. You call it back and get a bunch of bs and they cant verify what you owe or to who. Told them by law you have to give me something in writing by mail carrier or deputy for a court issued matter.
