Called me at 8am, left message saying he was  daniel roger from United States Treasury. He started out speaking normal, then throughout the message, a fake British accent kept appearing. Obviously a scam. Lousy quality phone call....static, fading in and out, etc...

Stop answering phone calls if you don't know the number. You're just letting these people know that it's an active number

This is the transcript of the voicemail from (305) 587-2983  at 9am today - the transcription was done by my voicemail provider, so machine generated --

"Hi my name is Daniel Roger and this message is intended to contact you regarding an postman faction. To invite items(?) treasury tending to see attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an issue before magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal offense. My number is 305-587-2983. I repeat it's 305-587-2983. I'd like you to call break with us and help us to help you. Thank you."

Same thing as someone else Daniel Roger and I got call from same guy from a 202 number, I called back and he said I am from the IRS, I said NO you are not, and hung up, then I kept calling them, a man with bad english picked up I told them they are rotten for scamming people

I got the same message from the same number.  It obviously is a scam.  Ignore it...

This man daniel left a threatening message about subpeonas, district court, etc.

recorded msg cycled 3x on the machine.

Rec'd a phone call this morning.  caller left voice mail with message that this was an attempt to collect money. Scam so beware

I received this same message.  That it was a second attempt from irs grand jury and I could go to jail.  I received it at 8am.  Not a great way to start the day.  I couldn't look the phone number up right away so had that sick feeling rolling around my gut until I could determine if a fraud or not.

I just got called and they said they were with the US Treasurer Department      I heard a Chinese accent

Who else thought the lady in the end of the voicemail sounded  funny like they can't wait to scam you or something lol. I just got the call right now.

I got the same call from the (305) area code, same name, etc.  I called the Federal Trade Commission and filed a complaint.  Perhaps if they hear from many people, they'll do something about it.  The FTC's number is (877) 382-4357.  Only took a few minutes.
