i received a call from this number from some guy named jim cummings with a thick accent claiming to be representing his client. he said that i had taken out a loan from americash and i never paid it back so i was facing legal charges and that i would be arrested and held for investigation, o yea get this he said i was going to be taken to court friday 3 days after i was going to be served with my papers, what a [***]  joke they almost had me until i checked my recent transactions on my card an saw that there was no deposit made from americash, they r getting slick be careful

Happened to me also  this is a scam they told me i would be arrested and they had a warrant for my arrest

Received a phone call calling me a scammer and that they have a warrant out for my arrest and will be srverd in the morning.

Got a phone call from this number saying im getting picked up in the morning because i didnt pay my loan.They asked me to go to a wallmart and send them the money i owe,which i never take,when they told me that i realized something is not right.what should i do now?

I received the same calls from this number 305-735-7250. A Paul Smith with an Arab accent says he is with Joseph and Jackson Legal Associate. He had all of my information and advised me that I never paid them back for a payday cash advance, which is BS. He told me I will be served with papers by the Police Dept and taken into custody by Monday and my legal fees could be around 5000.00. After typing in this number 305-735-7250 I see there are several complaints about the same thing all numbers with area code 305. One person advised they are having this so called company investigated with the Federal Trade Commissioner and the Florida State Attorney General's Office.
I to have filed a complaint.
I believe this is coming from me inquiring about a payday cash advance on line with one company (never agreed to any loan) as was just inquiring, when my information was give to about a million different companies and my phone has not stop ringing yet.
This is a scam!!!

Its a scam..call the ftc and bbb..i had the same scenario..don't have anything..and put yourself on the do not call list asap

When he called me his name was Charles Martin. I didn't believe a word of what he said because I do know that the police will not pick you up for a debt like this. Your credit would be affected likely, but you would not go to jail. You would get a subpoena to appear in court for a hearing before you could be sent to jail for 30 days as the guy suggested. I knew he was full of S4!+, and told him so! I explained that he better not call me again because I was going to report him for harassment.

I live in California. I too looked into a payday loan but never got one. He read me an affidavit saying I would be arrested on 3 charges for not paying this loan back. He had all my personal information and said I had received money and named my bank. I argued with him saying I never received any money. He was rude and told me to stop lying I was a thief and would be arrested by local authorities because the state of CA. Has a 0 tolerance law (or something ). I told them send it in the mail so I could foward the info to my attorney he said he can't do that. I told him he was full of it and hung up.  I got so worked up and upset I went back through my bank statement and never got a dime then looked up the number online.  I will be reporting this scam.  So wrong on so many levels.  Ameriloans??

same s%^& happen to me too called my house and my work they keep changing names now hes name is justin murry!! this thing needs to stop i dnt owe anything because i called my bank and asked them if they received anything from cash advance and they said no nothing!!!

yeah same scenario for me too..so if i call ftc and tell them about the issue they wnt call me anymore?

Got the same call from these people today.  Realized it was [***], they called 2 more times, reported to local police, ftc and fbi.  After 3rd call I told them they were reported tried the number back, viola it just rings busy now.

Same story here. Talked to a Matthew Clark and Ted Cummings who with a name like that had to ask for a spelling since they had very heavy accents. Collected a bunch of information on them and when I asked them for an address so my attorney send them a suit, they called me a fool and hanged up.
Been calling to just harrass them. Payback is a B*&^%$!!!!
I am going to report them to the attorney general of FL and my state of residence.

I too, unfortunately, have received this same call!  I am so glad that I am not alone, and I did exactly as you did.  This has got to be stopped!

He said his name was Charles White. Called my cell first- I couldn't understand some of what he said but I heard when he said "to protect my credit and safety" I needed to call him and if I did not call then "good luck with what falls on your head." Sounds like threats to me!! I work in the finance business and I have dealt with attorneys before. Bill collectors that are legit do NOT talk to you that way. Apparently he didn't like being ignored. He called my job 9 times in 5 min period after we all (including my boss) told him not to call anymore.  He said he would call me 90 times and kept trying to transfer me to a mgr on his end because he could not tell me what the debt was for. I told him not to bother because I don't have any. He also snapped at me to shut my mouth and kept talking over me. Trying to scam me and he was stupid about it.

Yeah I just got this call also and when I inquired about the this bull [***] law firm and all the pertinent info so I could file a complaint with Washington DC attorney generals office they hung up on me, everybody's got some kind of [***] game their running.

they keep changing their story.  now knowing they got my info from inqiring about paydAY LOAN info this is scary. i have the cops investigating these [***] but sadly its going nowhere
