Got a call from Jenkins Shaw & Associates claiming to be collecting on an old payday loan.  Want me to give them my debit card for withdraw of the amount which includes fees, etc.....but will not give me anything in writing.

Received a call at 11:30 today. About a payday loan I took out with my bank Liberty Bank and trust. I have never banked with them.  I have no know recolatiion of pay day yes.  I was told I had to pay today amount of 799.00.  I asked for a copy of the case. Then lost the call. Called back and left a message I have  not received a return call. But as of today I have 2 arrest warrents

Jenkins Shaw and Assoc is a legit law firm and they don't collect on payday loans only. I had a check that bounced to my apartment complex and was almost evicted over it and I was almost put in jail because I thought they were a scam but I found out they are real and luckily I still have a home.

I just recieved a call from a lady by the name of Jennifer Morris from the attorney office. How did you find out about the arrest warrants and where the warrants associated with the payday loans

DO NOT PAY THEM!!!!
They are a scam and are practicing illegally. Tell them you called the state attorney and will not pay them unless they send you something in the mail. No one is going to call you to give you "chance" to pay be fore going to jail.

I keep getting calls from Jenkins Shaw and Associates. He said that he is holding a warrant onn his desk & if I didn't call back or have my lawyer call back they would sendthe warrant to my county. I filed chapter 13 and all the payday loans I've had I put them in there. I have called in to work because I am scared & I can't eat or sleep behind this. I don't have any money & I have been on my job for 14yrs & I can't lose my job behind this. I don't have any help & its just me & my baby. Any advice on what I can do to keep from going to jail? I am getting in the hold by calling in to work. I need the money but scared to go to work

Apparently none of you are smart enough to look up their website...They are an attorney's office and they are based in Miami, Florida...It just sounds to me like most of you are just professional debtors and are trying to find ways around paying what you owe.

call a debt collector lawyer, they do not have a warrant for you. Call your county and find if you truly have one.
