Tech called me from this number identifying himself as "Alex" a tech from Microsoft.  Saying something is wrong with my computer and it's sending messages.  He asked me if I was in front of my computer so he could show me where the problem was coming front.  I told him No I was not going to do that.  I told him I'll call Microsoft back and let them help me.  He said no mame you can't do that, then he hung up.

Called 2:00 PM eastern.  No VM, called back from different office phone.  No answer.

100% scam.

Got call from this number also. Caller identified herself as Microsoft Technician and said they had many errors reported from my computer. Asked me to turn on my machine and she would help diagnose the problem. I told her I did not believe Microsoft was in the habit of making calls like this and she hung up.  Guess that was a scam?

Got a call at 2pm CDT from "Alex" also, claiming to be a "Microsoft technician", and that they had received error messages from my computer indicating that my security software was not working.  I did not let this go any further, as I have already heard from Microsoft that they never call end users with issues like this, so I hung up.

Called this afternoon...gave me a name, and  I said WAIT! I can hear the boiler room going in the background and you really need to get some carpeted cubicles for your scam....good bye!

Got a call from this number also... And they wanted to access my computer said no and called my son and he looked it up and found it was a scam

just got a call as well. asked him a bunch of tech questions he could not answer LOL

Caller said there was a problem with my windows (heavy south india accent)  I replied "Mujabar, nice to see you are no longer a street sweeper wadi in Delhi."  He hung up.

Just got a call on my cell phone same thing... I told her I didn't need help with my computer and not to call my number again.

Are Americans really dumb enough to let some middle eastern accented male or female have access to their computer system?  I acted as if I were until he had me to the point that he was going to view my computer from teamviewer. com  When he wanted me to tell him what I sae, I advise "that this American is not that stupid to let a phone scam take control of her computer"  he said again that he was trying to "help me" and I informed him that I didn't need help, especially not his kind!  Americans WAKE UP, please don't be so stupid as to let these scams obtain anything other than a hard time!

Got a call saying they were Microsoft. I kept asking questions and they hung up.  A scam.

Yes, got the same call from this number.  A Microsoft Technician wanting to help me with all these viruses and malware that my computer is reporting to them.  He wanted me to go to "join.me" so that he could show me all the problems.  I declined.  An obvious scam.

I received a phone call from a heavily-accented female advising me that she was from Microsoft and wanted to check my computer for errors.   She asked me to open my computer and wanted to remotely access in.   How brazen can someone be?  Of course the goal was to access all my personal information, credit card numbers and so on.   I would like to report this to the proper authorities but don't know who to contact; therefore, I am using this forum to alert others.  Thanks for making it available!

Michelle asked said she was from Microsoft.  I asked technical questions and she wanted to confirm the number with me (as she claimed that is how she knew it was from my computer).  Leading her along I asked her what number she had and she wouldn't confirm this supposed number and then basically told me to screw myself.

Same as all the above!  Introduced himself as "Online Tech Support" with "Microsoft" - NOT.  They want you to run MSCONFIG and they will fix your errors/problems on the PC.  Phone number on caller ID was 1-307-243-5143 and the other number I got from them was 1-844-282-7807 (trans natl. llc) something like that.
THIS IS A PRANK CALL - DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO ACCESS YOUR COMPUTER......

I just got a call from this number from and alex Hopkins, said he was from windows and there were errors. I said my computer was fine and how would he know. I asked him to remove my number from any list they had. clearly spam.

Got the same call from Wyoming, we are in Central Virginny and don't know anybody in Wyoming! After reading your concerns we decided to pass on their attempted call.

It's a " BOILER ROOM " call ( that's what they named the false stock companies that would try to sell you some worthless stocks in the '20'ss)
And, I could hear the background caller sand it was a joke...

Sandstorm called my CELL PHONE and tried to scam me into "logging on to my netbook to show me issues"

It's illegal to fraudulently act upon/as a representative, of a company in which you do not work for.
