Got a call from this number. Didn't answer and they did not leave a VM. want to block this number

I received a phone call from this number today.  It sounds like a scam.  It is a recorded message and they say they are from Life Alert.

I tracked them down by giving bogus info and waiting for them to call back when the card was declined.  Either these are the same crooks that were running the "Card Member Services" scams over the last few years of they hired the same crooks to generate the calls. They are using the same set of spoofed caller ID numbers.

I never answer they call at least once a day

Same old same old...  I didn't answer,  but they left a message, saying they're from Life Alert, and I could get a free system.  I, of course,  just blocked them.

These vermin have been running the "Card Member Services" telemarketing scams for several years.  Now they are paired with Medical Alert scammers.  As usual, they use spoofed caller ID and bogus company names, and ignore the Do-Not-Call list and assorted other violations.  But I gave them bogus ordering info and they called back the next day to complete the "sale" after the bad credit card info I gave them was declined.  I was able to track down who they are, complete with addresses and phone numbers.  See below for more info.  They've been sued for this before.

4th time I got a call on my work cell phone, and that phone is on the no call list..

Kudos to you for this most excellent post. as a working stiff, I personally dont have the time to deal with the interruptions and following up like you did. However that's exactly what these creeps are counting on.  Keep it up and we'll get Charlie Schumer back at 'em.

I wish they would quit calling and hang up

they call about every other day and the call disconnects after I answer

They called me and no one responded when I said hello.  I'm on the national do not call list and am an
unlisted number.   No matter how harmless it seems, this constitutes harassment and violation of privacy.

These stinkers call me at least 3 or 4 times a day. Forget about the do not call list. It doesn't work.

I got a call from them again today.  But today, I answered!  And enjoyed every minute.

You see, I did my research ahead of time.  I work as a criminal investigator.  I knew who owned the company (Evan Sirlin).  I know where he lives.  I know when, and for how much, he bought his house.  I know what he drives.  I know his kids names, his home address, and his home number.

The telemarketer on the line was dumb as a box of rocks.  He never did catch on when I signed the owner of this scam company up for his own scam!  Then just for fun, I went to his company website where you can sign up for have more of his scammers call you about his products.  His wife and kids will be getting a lot of calls.

I don't get mad.  I get even!  :-)  Cheers!
