Kept getting messages (foreign accept) for someone with different first name, but same last name saying that if I don't repond all they can do is "wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you".. must hear from me, yadayada.

"Elayne Marcus and Steven Smith" CLAIMED they represent "Errickson & Markoff Law Firm" and that this person borrowed money from "American Cash Loan Co." on line, and money was not paid back.  They have wrong number... I made them STOP recording the call (which they didn't disclose they were doing) and gave them A RASH OF CR**AP RIGHT BACK!!!!  GO GET THEM!!
CALL THEM BACK FROM EVERY NUMBER YOU CAN AND TELL THEM YOU ARE GOING TO SUE THEM FOR HARRASMENT... WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS ILLEGAL!!!!

These guys are so ridiculous and stupid!!  First off if you are going to try and collect money for a debt; know the laws!  There is no debtors jail, nor can you be arrested for "owing money" - come on really!

I am a paralegal, so when this guy said have your attorney call me.....I handed the phone to my boss.  My boss told the man to fax him the papers he had and what I owed and he would take care of it. My boss also asked for this guys address because he informed him he was doing business illegally and wanted to inform the police in that area.  The guy told my boss that he would provide the address if he sucked (you fill in the blank).  Who does that kind of stuff?  Plus, no fax ever came - big surprise there! NOT!

So as you can see.... these guys are truly scamers, pond scum, whatever you want to call them.  Just please, do not give them information or money!!

Made all the requisite complaints to every agency I am aware of, federal, state and local.  I suspect that the phone number is part of some sort of spoof system that sends out fake numbers and manipulating the phone system to fake their location.  They feel very safe, which is why they are so reckless with their diatribes.  I promise you that they picked the wrong people to try this stunt.  They just became my new hobby.  They'll be seeing me or some surrogate very soon.
