I received this call at my office.  Some lady told me that I had a lawsuit filed against me.  She even told me the last four digits of my social security number.  When I asked what the lawsuit was about, she told me I had to call this number and ask for Attorney Xavier Marshall to get more information.  If this were real, why wouldn't they send me something certified mail?  If they could get my SS#, they could certainly get my address.  I'm not calling that number back. But if anyone has had this experience, please post here.

Hi I got the same call from these people.  It's obviously a scam to try to get you to pay on a loan that is not yours.  I told them to put it in writing and this is not how debt is handled in the United States and hung up.  It's ridiculous we have to deal with this kind of abuse.

I keep getting a call from this number also. Stating something about a lawsuit. I told them once before that if they wanted to pursue this then they need to mail me something. I hung up on them. First of all, you can't even understand half of what they are saying. Now they are harassing me at work. I have just ignored all their phone calls.

I called him back since he has been calling for my wife. Picked his brain a little while and he eventually got angry and started pinging my network. Of course he was using proxies but my suggestion is to call him every hour on the hour or even more. Let him know how it feels to have your phone blown up with silliness. I have started my calls to him 7/13/2012 and he is just a kid now. I have a lot of recorded messages from him that clearly he admits not being with any organization. Call him and ask for a made up name he will answer with that made up name.

Well, guess I was one of the stupid ones. I actually pd him 700.00. Told me there was a lawsuit and I was going to jail. He even threatened that I would be arrested and lose my job. I work in a medical office was told I would be arrested there, so I pd it. Then called back, told me he needed 500.00 more that's when I figured it was a scam but was already out 700.00. Mt

I have received a call from this number several times. They are rude and want to know my social security number as well. Ihave not responded to them. Today I spoke with a staff person at Bank of America and she told me that this is something I should definately avoid responding to. She stated that if there was a bill or a legal issue they would need to send an official document to me from a court.

I kept receiving calls at work from a Shawn something or another with an Indian accent. He kept telling me to call Attorney Xavier Marshall because someone was taking legal action against me. I just kept ignoring him when he said that if I did not call soon to see what the law suit was about and how I could settle it I would be in big trouble. After being disturbed at work multiple times, I finally called "Mr Marshall" to see what it was about.i couldn't believe the garbage he spewed at me. He said I owed several small amounts of money that were on my credit report. He said that if I did not pay a settlement of $390 with my credit card or debit card, the credit bureau was going to blackball me, I would receive no further tax benefits (as if I get any now), that I would not get my social security benefits for 7 years after I become eligible, that my job would fire me, etc., etc. the scariest part was that he read me my social security number and asked if it was correct. I did not answer his question, but began asking him questions such as who was suing me and if he would send me this information in the mail. He became very angry and said that my boss at work would be getting a subpoena from him. When I laughed at him and asked what country he was a lawyer in, he hng up. Don't take any crap from this guy.

Yeah, I received the same call but, I was busy so I didn't answer. When i listened to the voicemail I just started laughing. I just dealt with a couple of these guys, same scheme, different guys. I called him back 37 times in one day, he didn't answer most of the time. I left a lot of voicemails, some more rude than others until he finally answered one time and told me that if I didn't stop calling he would file charges for harrassment against me!!! Hahahahahahahah!!!! Needless to say I haven't heard from him again, this one will be handled in a similar way. These guys are scum who think they can take advantage of us, I thought scanners were smart. I called him out on it and asked him how many people paid him money with this stupid scam? LOL, he was pretty tired of me when I got finished with him.

This male with a foreign accent continued to call me over, and over, and over again. I told him he had the wrong number but that did not matter he kept calling me by the name of the person he was calling for so after reading so many post of this same thing I became very agiated with these low-no lifers who work for payday loan companies and have the gull to say they are attorneys or calling from a law firm. He even left a message on my recording which I could not understand AT ALL. I blew a loud horn in their ear that echo from being on speaker phone and he cut the call and would not anwser when I called back. Also for those of you that have these cons call you they read these post as well.

My son got a call at his work stating that he was getting sued and to get a lawyer.  Man was very nasty on phone.  Said he needed to send him a money order for $290 to clear it up.  My son told him he didn't have any loans and hung up.  Man was of indian descent.  He couldn't even understand him.  He said they keep calling over an over.  I told him to answer and tell them to get a real job instead of harrassing people and trying to coerce them into sending money that isn't theirs.  Don't these people have a conscience???  I mean really....how can they sleep at night????

I got so scared, I was out running around and got this call but my contact name was Dexter Cruz!  I feel like calling him back and letting him know what a true american does in this world and that is go to work, and get paid by an organization, not the average citizen of the United States and that with his horrible english, and the name Dexter Cruz, he better go back to the country he was born in because I have manned up with my legal representative and he better believe that I will have his ass pulled out of California and shoved back into the mid east of the globe where he can play his scams on his own people!!! I am not playing games with these immigrants who think that they can play an american and take their hard earned money!  My heart goes out to the commenter who lost 700.00.  Thats horrible!
