no one, no thing there when answered

Caller ID says Member Services.  No one there when I answered.

I keep getting calls from Energy Choice Assistance.  They "want me to have my electric bill ready."  I believe it is a scam because I live in a town that has aggregated the residents electricity purchases to get the best deal.  All the legitimate electric suppliers would know this.  They keep calling me even when I asked to be removed from their list.  They come up on my phone as "member services."  This is the same as the credit card scam calls I get.

I just got a call from this place ID said member service, when answered no one there.

We get calls from this number as wll as *5581 several times per week.  I have tried calling the number and depressing"1" to remove our name from their calling list.  All this does is cause that number to call back again.  They call any time during the day and it is getting quite annoying.  Isn't there a way to see t it that they cease this immediately.

Just got this call - caller ID as Member Services;  yesterday from 312-240-5581 - caller ID Power Bill.  Obviously not important enough for a human to speak when I answer the phone, or to leave a message when I don't.

I get the same call. I believe they are just trying to switch over your home into a new electricity provider since Illinois has gone with energy deregulation. They pretend to sound as if you will get energy assistance as if they are part of the government, but they are not. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to do what they are doing since when you question them, they hang up.

This company is a scam DON'T TELL THEM ANY INFORMATION!! Their name is Montage Inc 3580 Wilshire Blvd # 1170 Los Angeles, CA 90010. 1-800-479-0776. Ask for Arash.

Received the call from 312-340-5550.  Same call Energy Choice Assistance.  They knew my name, address and phone number

This number calls me 5 times a day. When I answer no one is on the line. I am on the do not call list. It is really getting on my nerves!!!!

Electric and gas assistance

Just called my cell.  Didn't recognize the number so didn't answer. They (and many, many others) are now saved in my contacts as "SCAM" so when they keep calling, I know to immediately put them on ignore, or assign them "no ringtone".

Something really needs to be done to stop these intrusive idiots from stealing our cell phone minutes.  If we answer the call, we have to pay for that and it's theft!

I am offering a $100,000.00 reward for information leading to identification and successful prosecution of this entity.  This scam has been been going on for years.  It disgusts me that my phone company will not do anything about this.  They have all the data they need to identify these jerkwads.     I recently lost out on a 2 million dollar business deal because of these intrusive unwanted calls.  I am not putting up my own money to flush these sons of dogs out into the open.  If you are telephone company employee - post a message to this list and I will provide details of how to get in touch with me.  You will be given a test to ensure you are telephone company employee of weither Verizon or AT&T and have access to the switch data identifying the origin of these calls.

I keep getting calls from this # and all it says is to press 1 if you want on a Do Not Call List.....I haven't done it cause I'm figuring it's a ploy of some kind, but would like the calks to cease!!!

You can't get these folks to stop  and the Do Not Call registry is not at fault - that services applies only to legitimate and honest telemarketers, not scammers like this company.

Just create a contact named something like #Spam and then add this number to it. Assign a ring style of "no ring."  

I have about 60 such numbers in my different spam lists (#Spam1, #Spam2, etc.).

I keep getting calls from different numbers each time i block one they call from another.  And it is about lowering your credit card interest.  You press 1 to talk to someone and when you attempt to tell them to remove your number or not to call you anymore they just hang up.  I am on the do not call list and have reported twice to the FCC.  I still get phone calls.
