I answered the call and the caller claimed to be from the CDC. She stated that they were calling to conduct a survey on the use of cell phones and teenagers. The call was received on a work cell phone. I advised her that this was a work cell phone, she told me they were not allowed to call work numbers and she promptly hung up.

A so-called collection agency trying to collect old toll booth violations. Ask for a bill in writing and they would not provide it. They want to deal on-line only... SCAM!!!

“Harris&Harris” sent letter claiming to be collecting on behalf of a city for a traffic ticket incurred in a vehicle I had donated over two years ago. They also call daily. Their invoice has the wrong website for said city. Said city states they never hire for collection agencies. Said city has no records for either of two fake ticket / citation numbers supplied in writing & verbally by “Harris&Harris”.  “Harris&Harris” state you have to provide them w/ personal info by fax to prove the information is wrong. Said city advised me this is identity theft and to not respond in any way to “Harris&Harris”. I filed a claim with the US Postal Service for mail fraud. Will file with AG for the state of Illinois and state of Texas.

They called me to collect a debt that was charged off over 10 years ago. I told them if they wanted info from me then they needed to supply info on their companies ability to collect a debt in California.  I told them that they should mail a bill but that never happened.  They just it calling. I  blocked the number, there is nothing on my credit report, so they can kiss it.  I will check with the state to see if they have any legal action for this company. Please share any contact address, ...that you may find for them.
