I believe this is a law firm/debt collector.  They used to call up to twice a day every day.  Now it is about once a week.  However annoying!  They have several different numbers they use to call you with.  When they leave a message it is automated.

Yes it comes up Harris PC a Chicago connected law firm for collecting parking tickets,  They keep calling on a ticket almost 10 years old from my deceased father.   I told them he was deceased and they had years to put a claim on the estate,not eternity or beyond the seven years to collect a debt.  They claim it has to be paid by me, which I know is not the case and obviously they do not know the law.  

I have been harassed by calls from this firm for a couple of months.  I do not live in Chicago have not been there for years.  When you answer the call all you get is a robo call.  When you call the number you get sent to a non answering line that makes you listen to bad audio and then never gets answered.  They call me on Sundays and throughout the week.  Other place says they are paid by Chicago government to retrieve money,   yet they do not even check to see if the person the person they are calling is indeed the person that is responsible.  I now understand why Chicago is in such bad shape and it is pretty clear they feel that it is okay to bully innocent people.  The owner of this company should be calling from prison.

I don't have any debts in collection, have never received a ticket, or even been to Chicago in years!
How can these 'idiots' be stopped?!

Using Caller ID Fraud for Debt Collection, clear violation of unregistered Dialogic card (Component of Autodialer/Predictive Dialer computer) FTC Laws. Read online that they are not Lawyers, but masquerade as one using caller I.D. to intimidate. Illinois Attorney General get up off your [***] and prosecute!

Harrasing calls started today.  Automated system.

Robo calls from this number began six to eight weeks ago.  As with other similar calls, I don't dignify them with an answer, or response.  The caller, A Harris PC, self identifies as a representative of a debt collection agency.  Googling the number identifies the the firm as a debt collection agency for parking tickets in Chicago.  No information is provided by the caller to explain the calls.  Information provided at this chat site identifies the firm as having a dozen aliases.  Best guess is that these are scam calls.  Have reported the matter to our local PD.

No name on caller ID. I don't know why they are calling but I'm not answering that call, regardless.

They say they are collecting because of Red Light and Parking tickets, but I don't own a car nor do I drive!!

They are calling someone they shouldn't be calling and no one ever picks up the phone, when I call them!

If this was true they won’t call you they would send you US Mail letter telling you that your car has a parking ticket. And if it’s a credit card collection they would mail you a letter.  So don’t worry about them just call bock it.

I've been receiving messages from this Arnold Scott Harris PC law firm (or whatever they are) for YEARS, never once returning a call yet tthey persist in leaving messages on a periodic basis. During the height of Covid their calls did cease but eventually resumed. Pestering people relentlessly is not at all pc with me, and as another poster pointed out: Where is the IL Atty General to go after this sort of harassment ?

For years yet you have done not one single thing to make them stop? For instance, did you send them a cease and desist letter? Did you report them to the CFPB, the FTC, and your State Attorney General? Did you report them to the Illinois Agency that oversees debt collectors? Did you report them to the Illinois BAR Association? As far as the law goes they have done nothing wrong since you have not informed them of your wishes.
