Have never called them and have no intention of ever doing so. This is a fraud. They use different telephone numbers, but the message is always the same. - Linda from DenverI got a call at 8:53 PM on January 18. The man said "This is a one-question survey. Did you vote in the election?" I answered yes. The man coughed and cleared his throat. The he said he was sorry, but he couldn't hear my response because he was coughing. He repeated the question. Again I answered yes. He coughed again, apologized again, and asked the question again. I hung up. I just heard on the new that this is a scam, and that the callers are trying to get a recording of you voice saying "yes." They warned to watch your bank account and credit card activity if this has happened to you.

- Don't be Polite"John from Informed Electorate" (he claimed to be) called, very very friendly. I answered the call because I expected a call from a relative. Ordinarily, I never answer calls I'm not expecting, and I block the number after they hang up. Unless they leave a voice message. 99% of the time, I delete it, then block them. The rest I check out. They are wasting their time, not mine, and not getting any money from me, ever.
So "John from Informed Electorate" at 312-667-9781 asked me to answer ONE question: did I vote in the last election. I said YES. He then asked ANOTHER question: what is my first name. Second question, and why? Suspicious, I declined to answer. He then asked if he could call back, and I informed him I'd check them out. So I did.
And I found a defunct political Web site, "Informed Electorate" ( http://votethewill.org/ ). If "John" is calling from there, he needs to revise the Clinton/Trump poll stuff. That election is over, thank God. But there's a different number on the Web site Contact page, isn't there, "John"? So either way, you're a fraudster, probably calling on an old Princess phone in mommy's basement. And your call #2 will never get past my Panasonic, with 150 blocked creeps like you so far, and 100 to go.- Caller: Informed electorate
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KasIt came up on my phone line as surv informedelec. I didn't answer. They left no message. It is obviously a scam. I answered them once and I hung up when they started asking for money. They claim they were interested in surveying people on political views.
