i recieve random calls from this number on my cell phone.  They never leave a message

Claims I have entered a contest and I should call back because I won a car.
Appeareed to be a recording.
Claims they're aware of do-not-call and wouldn't be calling unless contest was entered (it wasn't!).
Reported to do-not-call and needless to say, I won't be calling back.

Same story as above....this needs to stop.

I got the very same message.  The phone call interrupted our dinner, most annoying.

When I answered the phone a man stated he had the wrong number and told me to have a nice day.

It's a pre-recorded message. If you notice they didn't say who they were, what the car it was, your name and how it was won.

Like the folks above, they left no message just dead air.
So I called back and it was a Black Womans voice simply saying plesae dial the ext you wish to reach and then rang and rang and rang. They need to dissapear...

Virtually the ame as gene commented on April 14 when I answered the phone a man stated that he was sorry, he had the wrong number and told me to have a nice day. Strange though, as I hadn't answered with my name and he first mentioned "David", but before I could say a word...he skipped to having the wrong number.  My guess is they play the recording to voice mail only.

Several times have answered this call and a male voice states, "I do apologize I have dialed the wrong number".  The 312 area code is the Chicago area.

There is no contest, and you're not a winner. The reason they hang up is because they're just checking to see if it's a valid number for text and other promotions. This is how online mailing lists verify information.

This person has called several times and always claims that she (is a woman of color) has the wrong number and to have a nice day. It is annoying, as she has called several times over the past month or so....does she think that I don't remember? Does anyone know how to block certain numbers?

I said hello and immediately a woman said she had the wrong number and have a nice day.  Caller ID says NOTIFICATIONS.

Just got a call saying the same as others, I had the same experience earlier this week when I picked up the phone a man said he dialed the wrong number. I asked who he was calling and he hung up. They always call at 8 am. This is Saturday and they woke me up. Not happy with them

The message on the machine said "Have been trying to reach you for the last 12 - 18 months.  This is not a cold call.  You have won one of 4 major appliances.  If you hadn't entered the contest, we wouldn't be calling you.  Please call to claim your prize.  This is Melvin and you can reach me at..."  
Sure sounds like a scam.  Not gonna return the call.

They gave an address which was a hotel which sounded like a sales pitch and talked about a local car dealership that was going to give me a car, then they said something about me bringing my wife, and that was when I knew this was completely bogus.  My cell phone disconnected due to a bad signal, and I am about to change the number anyway.

I've been getting voice mails left from this number on my cell for 6 months!  Always a recording from "Melvin" at the "Notification Center" telling me I entered to win a car (I NEVER give out my cell # to people I don't know and I don't enter contsests).  Saying they're aware of the do not call list (I am on it and have reported at least 5 of their calls), that it's in my best interest to call back and that he has called multiple times and this is his last attempt (promises, promises!).

When I've tried to answer the calls there is no one there.  I called back the number Melvin left about 3 months ago and reached a woman who said she would put me on their do not call list.  I still got calls from them.  Now this week I'm getting the same voice message from "Melvin" from a different #:708-248-7796.  I called from my home phone, dialing *67 first to block my name and number from appearing on their end.  I reached a woman who said "Let me get my do not call list so I can add you" (really? a hard copy list, not in their computer?).  She then said she would add my # to her list and she read me my HOME phone # that I had tried to block AND my husband's name to their do not call list.  I said that's fine, but I also want my cell # on the list so they stop the calls the've been making to it.  She said OK and again gave my husband's name as the owner of the cell #.  Soooo, what kind of equipment do they have that can get caller ID from blocked calls?
