We got this call this morning saying that the IRS was legal action against us. But when we called back we got a gentleman with a foreign accent. I did my own investagation and called the Irs there was an animated voice saying thank you for calling the Irs and that they are closed at this time.

I received the same message this morning stating that there the IRS was processing legal action against me.  I did not call back as this seems to be another phishing scam. I received a call last week from another number regarding the same issue.  The IRS would send out a notice, and not a phone call.

Just got a voice mail to call this department back immediately.  Glad I didn't call.

scam from overseas stating IRS is sueing...IRS would NOT be leaving  message on your phone! Just ignore it. I think I reported this number last year for the same thing.

I received a call from an automated system & it stated that this was a final notice from the IRS and that they were going to file a lawsuit against me. I called back & the call was answered by an Indian man with lots of background noise. He had my old last name & asked me to confirm my current name before he would give me any details. When I refused, he threatened to "destroy me" and have me arrested.

I just received the same message from the "IRS".  When I called back it sounded like a phone bank with a lot of people in the background. I said I was returning the call and they ask me what was it in regard to. I said you called me. Then I ask for their agent number and the call was disconnected. This is a scam

I just received this same call message that the IRS was trying to file charges on me.  When I called back and asked who was calling and form whom, they repeated my husband's name and my address.  I hung up because I knew it was not the IRS, however,  I was concerned that they had my husband's name and out address.  What a scam and should be against the law!!!  How can we report these scammers?

Suspect a phishing call judging by all posts here it is a total scam being orchestrated by some illegal group that want to scam people and have them reveal their correct information. As we all know that IRS only send out mail by US post office and they will not call you directly if this would be true you would have received multiple inquiries by mail and not phone call.

I just got off the phone with some crazy foreigner stating that my sister owes 7k to the IRS. They are BOGUS! Please do not fall for their lies. He got so mad at me after I yelled at him that he hung up.

Got a threating phone recording saying the IRS was calling and I needed to return call immediately!  I knew the IRS had no reason to call nor would they, but I wanted them to quit calling my phone.  When I called back and after waiting on hold a foreigner answered asking, "who was calling and when did I receive call".  I said a few minutes ago.  He then asked me if I was "my husband's name" and if I lived at "my address"?  Really scary so I hung up???  WTF, this should not be allowed!  Scammers calling people and having their personal information.  Please report them and stop them!

Got the same Indian man with lots of background noise.  Cal was from LaDue, MO. Scammers they need to be reported to MO Police Department.

They really need to be reported to the police.  They keep calling and threatening me with my personal information.  I'm blocking this prank caller now.

Got a call from this number. Called back and it just rang and rang.

just got the same call as others report. Our tax transcript was hacked last year and the IRS has provided us 1 yr free Equifax service. Also we cannot file electronically. When we file via paper, we receive a letter from the IRS verifying the Return is legit. Our return will not be processed until verified

I just got the same call. The IRS would send out a letter, not have a choppy auto-calling thing.

Makes me sad that my parents are likely to get a call like this and think it's real. #sigh

Called me twice today stating they were from IRS and were going to file against me if I didn't call them back immediately

This is the Indian IRS Scam.   Just hang up on these LOW IQ Idiots.

I received a call from 314-651-7749 saying it was the IRS and they are going to sue me.

They have called my work phone 3 times today leaving messages about the IRS filing suit... SCAM don't call them back.
