I'm selling my car and this number texted me asking about it and after a very brief description said he liked my add and will buy the car thru PayPal and would have his transporter come pick it up and inspect it after the sale goes thru. And insisted on paying thru PayPal where cars and transactions with them are not insured it is an obvious scam

Its a scam, even I got the same text.

Its definitely a scam. I just got done dealing with him.

He texted me asking if my car was still available. Asked about the price and condition. I thought asking for the price was odd since its stated in the ads and posted on the car. He wouldn't give me his location, how he came across the car, and he ignored other questions I asked. After much research I realized the person is a scammer. He goes by Steve Johnson and the Shipper is Brack in Kentucky.

Received a generic request for condition of car moments after putting up ad. Followed the same script as described by others - offered to pay via PayPal and have a shipper test drive and pick up.

Are we sure this is a scam?  I believe i am dealing with guy right now.
