Got a call from this number right now, the woman on the other end of the phone said her name was "Kelly" (although she had a thick foreign accent).  Told me my Windows program was sending them all kinds of messages that it was infected by viruses, etc. and wanted me to go to a site and fix it.  I asked her how she knew my computer was Windows-based and she struggled for an answer.  Her final response to my question was to stammer out some unintelligible answer and just sound mad I had asked her that question. So I decided to play along with her game and give her a taste of her own medicine.  After she told me to press on the windows logo and then the letter "r" at the same time, she asked me what the screen said. I said "the computer is telling me this is a known scam and that the caller is being reported to the FBI,  Kelly, don't you ever call here again or I will report you".  Her response was to hang up the phone even before I got to the word "again". Good, because the way I look at it, I cost them a peak-rate long-distance phone call *AND* I will now block these scammers from ever calling here again.  HOPE YOU ENJOYED PAYING FOR YOUR PHONE CALL AND NOT GETTING MY MONEY, SCAMMERS!!!!

Same windows scam others have had and they call several times sometimes within fifteen or twenty minutes between.  I am blocking this number.  Hope something can and will be done about this scam and others like it.  These are irritating at best.

Report immediately cuz I got scared they might make it seem legit by asking if you're a minor but don't trust them

I also received a phone call from 315-000-1234, Thankfully I did not answer. I am sure this must be a scammer calling but how can we turn these scammer into the authorities? Evidentially they have been doing this for some time & no doubt it is a call from another country!

Rec'd a call from this number-a female told me same old story about lots of reports about viruses. She told me to press control R and asked me "what do you see on the screen?"  Told her "I see the same thing I was working on before you called" She was surprised that I hadn't followed her instructions. I told her that this was a twist on the same old scam and not to call again. I also told her to take my number off their list, but I know that won't happen. They call about once a month with the "VIRUS SCAM", always on a different number, so it's useless to even block the number

Just got a call from same number asking me to do exactly the same thing. I told him to give me the steps and I will follow through later, he said no he needed the report for his boss. Did not trust it so I google the number and here we are, other people gone through the same thing. thanks!

If you're not already on the national 'Do Not Call registry, you should get on it. They actually take care of the people who are scammers, robo calls, unwanted telemarketers, etc. If you google it they will give you the site. I've had two today already, I'm going to report them now.

Same, woman with thick accent said she was calling from Microsoft regarding my desktop Windows program, I told her I don't have a desktop or Windows, said not to call again, she called me a [***] and hung up...

I am tired  of these scam calls and want them stopped!

Same old crap - different day...I see the first report on this list was over 2 years ago and still today, there are spam phone calls from this number. So glad to see so many are watching out for us.

This caller said he was from windows so I cussed him out and told him to get a job and quit scamming people.
