I got a call from this number,saying that i won  $7000 grant,but i had to give $290 deposit kind o f type money,becareful,they say they from washington dc,its a total scam,this people sure dont care about people feelings

I also got a call wanting to give me a $9000 grant. They wanted a bank account number to release the money, when I refused they said they would western union The money to me but I had to call this number. What a SCAM.

A man called me and had a thick accent and could hardly understand him and said I was going to receive a grant from the government of 9000.00 just because I had good credit (which I don't) and did not have a criminal record. I would never have to pay it back but with the conditions that I would not be reckless and spend the money gambling or on other unnecessary  things. He gave me a money ID # and told me his name was Marco Brown. He wanted to know how I wanted to receive my money,deposited in my bank account directly, or cash. I told him he could send me a check and he said no it would have to be direct deposited or cash a a western union. I was to call and give my ID number and tell them his name and I would receive the money today at any western union or to be deposited into my bank account directly. The number I was to call was 315-636-5380. The name that came up on the caller ID was Kristy Washington and I asked him if he was Kristy and he said he didn't know what I was speaking of. I asked did he borrow Kristy's phone cause that is the name that came up on the caller ID! Still he did not know who I was speaking of! The last thing he asked was how old I was and I told him and he said "Are you sure?"  I said yes I know how old I am! This would be wonderful if it were true but the government does not randomly call people to give away money for no reason! Do they really think people are that stupid? I want to help stop them from scamming people!

Yeah, just happened to me too! Sound to good to be true. They said I didnt have a crimal record......[***]!! I got one as long as my arm. Those dumb a$$

I just received the same exact call. A guy with a really heavy accent who did not know how to spell Atlanta. I just hung up. How do we stop them from scamming others?

I just got a call from this number.His name is Edwards.He wanted $200 plus $60.00 for western union charges.I told him I did not have the money,he said to borrow the money

I got a call from him as well, and he gave me the website www.grantgovernemt.com and an ID number with this same phone number.  When I went to this website, it was about how to obtain a government grant.  It didn't say I would get a grant.  he has definitely stepped up his game.  LOL

I to just got the same call. They told me once I got to the Western Union parking lot to call them and tell them I was in the parking lot. I was not to tell the agent about the transaction or the transaction would be void. I was to bring them $310 security deposit and the Western Union Agent would give me $9310 back. I told him I would be there at 6 pm. I guess her will be waiting on this for awhile.

On July 27, 2013 Colin Edward called me with an Asian accent offering a Government Grant for $9000.00. The Identification number on my phone was 202-506-1967. However, I was instructed to call another phone number for verification with a confirmation number which was G125. The other number that I was to call is 315-636-5380.

I received a call from 202-506-1967 on my cell phone, they told me I had been "selected to receive a grant of $9,000" from the US government, Since when did the government help anyone but themselves? Any way I was to call another number 315-636-5380 and speak with her supervisor to release the money,. They wanted my bank account or my credit card number to release the money. I may have been born at night but it wasn't last night, Be careful it is a scam

I called back the number & told him to get me off his calling list & he told me i was a "f****** idiot"  The call I answered was  "Cap 8 Doors And   202-506-9767.  Foreign speaking both numbers.  He said I was to get $9000.00 grant from the government.  Only 17,000 were chosen from this state.  And that I had a clean record.

Received a call several times from different telephone numbers about a $9,000.00 grant.  The choices were they wanted our checking/debit account numbers or money can be western union and they also charged you a fee for wiring the money.  One of the telephone numbers were 315-636-5380.

I got a call from saying that I was to receive $9000 grant. Then they wanted to know my bank account info and how old I was. After that they gave me a reference number, a name and a phone number to call. I know this is a scam.

I got the same call as (202) above, instructing me to call another number (315).   Except, I was told I would be receiving my check in the mail tomorrow;  I'm going to go stand on the porch and wait.   Hooray!

I just got the same phone call today. I told my mom about it, but she was skeptical about the $9000. But i had to pay a $310 security deposit. So I decided to put the number into google. And what do i find, this site. I knew it was too good to be true. And i really.needes the money too :-(

A lady called and said that since I had such a good record paying my taxes...that I was elgiable for 1 time grant for $9000. She gave me a confirmation # and told to call 3156365980/  which I did but they wanted first to give them first $250 then it dropped to $50 to claim it at west un or in my bank account.  Felt leary so I am glad I pulled this # up.  If is sounds to good to be true it probably is.  I be3lieve this is a SCAM.

I just received a call from 202-738-1197 and the guy told me the same thing as mentioned above. And tell me to call 315-636-5380 which I am not going to do.

I suggest everybody to submit a fraud complain on www.grants.gov they might help to stop these callers.

I want to make sure is this number from Federal Reserve Bank, NY?

These MF's tried me too, but I called them out c n how everybody responded online. Both of them had thick accents too. B safe & give no info...
