i get a recorded message saying i need to verify my debit card information or they'll cancel my card. I have received four calls in two days from this number. It is NOT my bank.

I got 3 calls in 3 days from this number ...Luckily I googled it and saw all the comments about this number saying its fake...Then I got another call from that number and spoke to the "customer service rep' Who asked me for some information; Account anumber and social I quickly said "how do I know
your bank of america?" she replied "I can tell you anything about you" I said "ok where did I open my this account?" (a question B of A always asks me when I call in) she said "hold on please" and took about 4 minutes before getting back on the phone and saying "I can tell you what state you opened the account in" (which anyone can find out what state I live in) So I just replied thats weird that you Bank of america cant tell me the exact location where I opened the account..I'll just call back ...she then tried to give me the number to call back ..And I said "I already have a number programmed on my cell phone and itys not this one......

I was called by this number, saying they were Bank of America and they wanted to verify questionable transactions. The first transaction in question was "Credit to the Account" posted on Aug 20th. Funny, I just woke up and it was Aug 20th. I wanted to log on to my account online to verify anything because the last time Bank of America notified me there were questionable transactions, they sent me an email then told me to call them. Nothing was on my online account that was suspicious or posted on Aug 20th. The options they gave me were, 1 - yes this is correct, 2 - this is not correct, 3 - I'll call back once I verify the information, 4 - talk to B of A representative. I finally pushed 4 and my call ended. I thought I might have missed the 4 and ended the call, so I called back and tried talking to someone, but thought I would investigate the phone number online. This is the only time I've received a call from this number so far.

They called me from this number twice today Sunday 9/09/2012 .  I answered the phone the 2nd time.  They claimed they are with Bank of America fraud protection department and wanted to verified currents charges to my account.  They asked for my name, end ending debit card numbers, expiration date and 3 digit from the back of my card.  They knew my email and wanted to verify it.  I answered the call because i received an email from BOA about irregular charges to my account ending numbers xxxx. But as I recalled I do not have an account with xxxx numbers.  I then gave them some fake information.  I think they are con artist who replicated BOA bank website and called me.  How they know my cell number and email I dont know.  Just be ware people.

I got a call from 315-724-4022 on my mobile phone. They left voicemail. It was from Bank of America's ATM/Debit Customer Protection Department, thanking me for advising them of upcoming travel (which we did yesterday) and giving additional numbers to contact while we travel out of country if we need assistance, presumably with charges we will attempt to make while travelling. They left a return number 1-877-833-5617 to call and instructions to ask for a fraud specialist if we didn't initiate this notification or have questions. I think this is legitimate.

This number called my mobile phone and left a message. The message was from bank of america lettting me know about activating a debit card they sent me. Seems legitimate to me

I got a call from this number yesterday.  They left message and I got an email from Bank of America.  I do have an account with the so I just called the 800 number on the back my the card to verify and it is legit.  I am out of state so they flagged it.  Actually glad to see its working in my favor and their doing their job!

Got a call from bank of america asking me to verify information and they read off information back to me.  They said my card would be canceled and was part of mass compromise and so i needed to get a new card.  I was wary because its holiday season so i kept the number and called my bank of america fraud hotline.  Gave them the number and asked about the status of my account.  The fraud specialist informed me it was a bank of america phone number in new york and that my card was part of a fraud scheme that they were calling to make me aware of.  The number is legitimate so don't be wary.  :)

I received a call from the number 315-724-4022 today, 12.11.13. IF you look on the back of your BOA card, this is an international number listed if you are going to be traveling outside the US. BOA wants to know if you are traveling so that charges can be accredited to your account. I had recently spoken to a BOA Representative about our travels and confirmed that it was within the US and not internationally. I didn't answer it, no message was left.  So I can't verify any other information.  IF you suspect FRAUD, call this number 877-833-5617.
