Got a call but no message. I looked it up and it is actually a company called Mid-Continent Credit Service based in Wichita, KS. They are a collection agency. Here's the company info in case anyone is interested... and also their main telephone number.

This company is very very rude when they call and they call at all hours of the day and night.  If they can't get ahold of someone then they need to write a letter!!!

Yep, sounds like a collection agency, lots of background noise, rude operators. I just got a new cell phone and I am constantly getting calls from these idiots asking for somebody named "Erica," who apparently had the number before me. I've told them repeatedly that this is a new number to me, and that it is not a current number for Erica, but apparently they're too stupid to enter that info in their database, they just keep calling. (Guess I'll be calling my phone provider for a different number today, since my group's plan doesn't include blocking. Sigh.)
I hate stupid people!!!!!! Get a clue, Mid Continent! Change your contact info! If you people are too stupid enter notes in your database when somebody TELLS YOU OVER AND OVER THAT YOU HAVE A WRONG NUMBER, or at least attempt to verify with the provider that the number has been reassigned, then you're just too stupid to be in business. (Duh, she's a deadbeat - do you think she paid her cell phone bill either???)

They keep calling and the person they are calling is not at my number.  I keep telling them this and they said they don't care.  Very, very rude and obnoxious.  I told them if they did not quit calling I was going to report them and they said go ahead.

I get probably 10 calls a day from this number.  Last night they called us at 11pm. now that is rediculous.  they wake us up all hours..  They need to be stopped.  When I answer they just ask for other people.  Then in 20 min. they call again. What is their problem.....??

I have had the cell number since 1997.  If they just called the wrong number, all they have to do is say "sorry to interrupt"  
But no, they want to interogate you!  Yes, rude,

My girlfriend got a call from this number and they said something to the point of "It is what it is" or "It is what I meant". And her cousin called back and the man who picked up said "Hi, this is Bobby, may I help you?"

I get a call everyday from this number but they never leave a message.  The one day that I was able to answer the call a female asked for me, I said, "speaking" then the rude female hung up the phone.  They really need more professional operators if they are trying to collect on debt, if that's what it is.

I have had the same people calling me for about six months now. I requested a letter to prove the debt and to not contact me by phone ever again, only through the mail. Of course they still call all of the time and i have never gotten anything from them. I took the call last week (as Im getting very aggrivated with the constant calling)and again requested to be notified of the debt with all of the details. The very rude woman on the phone said "Fine, Im putting your account in refusal to pay status." She then hung up.....what the hell man! Yes, the calls are still coming in daily.

Just moved.  Apparently Juan had our number before us, and he spoke Spanish.  And he had a lot of friends in jail.  We get many calls a day for him.  But the worst one was "Donna" from Mid Continent C. 316-613-3573

I missed their call, and so I called them back to tell them to take me off the call list.  Someone said hello, I replied please stop calling us we aren't interested in anything your selling and we are on the don't call list.
She replied- I am not selling anything and I will call back as often as I like!  Then she HUNG up on me.  
I called back again and requested "Don" to give me to a manager.. "Donna" the same voice that yelled and hung up on me was on again.  I repeated to tell her I will take her to court if they continue.  She said all you have to do is tell me if this number is for Juan or not.  (FUNNY SHE DIDN'T MENTION THAT TO ME THE 1ST TIME WHEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME!)  I told her its our new number and that he isn't here.  She hung up right then on me.  I called back about 5 times, they hung up everytime as soon as the phones connected.  My husband used his cell and called and spoke to Dear "Miss Donna" and she was polite as all could be.  And that was 10 minutes ago.. So I will be perusing harassment charges if it continues past tonight.

The Owner Paul Matzek might just get contacted about this personally.  We can travel to get an apology and from reading these blogs above it sound like I would be doing a service to many.

This company has called me and hung up. Upon calling back a woman answered MCC. I told her I just received a call and was hung up on before knowing who was calling and her response was "I doubt that but you are being now" then she hung up. This is no way to collect a debt professionally and that company should be ashamed.
If this company is treating you in an uncivilized way or repeatedly calling you. Simply contact an attorney (one that specializes in suing collection companies) and the collection company will settle out of court for those they are calling by mistake or if they are harassing a customer in debt too far. Third party collection companies will almost never win a court case in these circumstances. Any documentation of the call will help.

I keep getting called from 316-613-3575 & they're looking for someone that's not me & regardless of how many times I tell them I'm not who they're looking for, they keep calling.

Mid Continent is a member of both so that is one way to get them to stop the madness is to complain about their compliance. Calling after hours, being flat out rude as an attempt to collect debt, setting the dialer to recall you back on purpose over and over, and (as noted on other websites) collectors asking you if you want to try drugs is beyong unprofessional and ridiculous and I am sure the ACA would feel the same.

The woman who called me today was not super rude. She however did not identify who she was representing and asked for a person who was not me. I do not forward calls to friends and family from people who do not identify themselves. After I told her the person she was looking for was not available she said goodbye and hung up. This is much better than previous calls when I get hung up on in the middle of a sentence.

I looked them up on this site and made a call to their customer service and requested for them to identify themselves in the future. I was a little agitated but polite but got hung up on in the middle of a sentence. I am furious.This will not stop here I will keep complaining.

I complained on the federal level but was unable to complain on the state level. The state website, kindly provided by They Are Idiots, did not accept my e-mail.

I got a call from this number to they were very rude, do they think they will get paid by being rude also if I had it they would have it.

I got a call from this company on Christmas Day 2010 asking me if I could pay a pass due bill from when I was in the hospital 2 years ago. I said what is this about and they just kept saying "Can you pay this today?" I said I have never gotten notice about this bill and they tried telling me that they have spoken to me many times. I told them NO you havent, and again they said "Can you pay this today?" I said "No , I cant cause I dont know what it is about " then they said "Fine" and hung up... This is BS if you ask me they should atlease let you know what it is about. I work in a call center and i was to treat one of my callers that way I would be Fired on the spot.


Today (01/06/2011) they have called 6 times in the last hour and I am not going to answer if they want to talk to me they can leave a message or send a letter.

I have been called every day by Mid Continent Credit Services about  a  $400 bal due for a hospital visit for my son who is a college student. I told them every time I will send a pmnt on the 15th of this month. The next day and every one after that I told them nicely the same thing. Today Linda called and was very rude. I called the number and spoke w/a girl named Jennifer and told her I have pmnt arrangements and asked to stop calling everyday. She said I will call every day till you pay it, told her that's not necessary. She got real snotty with me and I said isn't that harrassment and she hung up on me, so I called back again and asked her why she hung up and told her that isn't professional. This kind of customer svs is sad. It makes me want to change my phone number. I will file a complaint w/ the websites noted above.
