Yes, it's a collection agency.  The female making calls sounded like she'd been drinking.  Rather belligerent when informed she'd erred in her contact.

woman who leaves message asks for person to call but doesn't explain why or what for.  if this is in fact a collection agency is the phone their only means of communicating?

This number calls all the time and when the person they call for isn't available the lady just says thank you and hangs up.  And then they'll call again the next day.  One of several collections agencies I receive calls for.

Called my cell phone. Female voice on the line, asked for me, butchered my name, said she was an operator and had a call for me. Heard  a click followed by 6 rings. Then phone picked up and heard and another number was dialed then hung up.

I get this call every day about the same time.  I don't answer debt collection calls, because they always want the money right then and there in full.  If they're not willing to make a pay arrangement with me, then I refuse to work with them.  I may have debt, but I'm not a bad person.  The amount of calling they make to each individual person is ridiculous.  What happened to cell phone numbers being private?

I get calls all the time from this number. Most of them at 4:30 AM. If it's a collections agency, I don't know why they'd be calling me. It's so irritating.

they call the phone 2 and 3 times a day every day,but when my hubby cals them back they dont answer the phone..get a life people and stop calling me.

got a call from this number, didn't know who it was, called it back and a female I guess said KCI and asked how she may help me and I heard typing and when I said "what?" she hung up.

This damned number calls all the time to waste airtime minutes, we just ignore it feeling like it must be a subsiderary of the cellular industry trying to catch up with the petroleum industry!

A company using the name of Kansas Counselors, Inc. has been contacting students regarding collection of a debt on behalf of UMKC.  Please be advised these calls are not legitimate collection calls.  This is a scam. Do not verify or provide any of your personal information, such as social security number, date of birth, credit card numbers, or bank account information to them.

UMKC uses the following companies for debt collection purposes:

   * The CBE Group, Inc.
   * National Credit Management
   * Windham Professionals

UMKC uses the following company for student loan account billing and management.

   * ECSI

If you have been contacted by Kansas Counselors, Inc. and have given personal information or made payments to them, please contact your local law enforcement agency immediately to file a report.

Got a call on a cellphone that has not given to any business in two years. Must be random calling victims.

Went to http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm to fire a complaint.

They call me everyday. If I don't answer, they call back repeatedly 5 or 6 times. They never leave a message.

They called cell phone. I am glad to know it's a bill collector and that I didn't answer it! When I looked it up on yellowpages.com/reverse look up, it showed nothing.  I googled the number and ended up here.  If they are calling your cell phone, obviously we've given a provider the number as our phone number when we filled out patient information.  That's my guess  :(

they call every morning at 8am again at 2pm and sometimes 5pm for 66 dollar doctor bill which was a co pay to the doctor which was payed will not stop calling what to do??

I have been receiving calls from this number. A man's recorded voice says they are attempting to reach (the name is scrambled so I can't understand)and it is not a soliciting call. It's about an important business matter. He says to call 1-800-295-2967 and that it is Kansas Counselors. I have NOT returned the call and I DO NOT owe any unpaid bills.

I sent 'em a letter from the doctor stating it was paid- they still call- these people are frauds, and the worst kind of scum.

They Have Called several times
and i asked what company they where collecting for
and they said a cable company i have not had services through for 3 and 1/2 Years now they are calling my company telephone number and harissing my employees when i call to remind them that this is corprate phone number which is unlisted and there was no way i have given this number to any one they say that i gave it to the old cable company so i called them to set up payment arangement and i asked what was the last phone number that they had for me they said they had a phone number that i have not had for 3 years So THIS COMPANY IS FRADULENTLY Gathering numbers I strongly suggest that they be shutdown i am no longer accepting call from then i am dealing with the company for which i owe a bill to directly i will file harissment charges if they call again i suggest that every one do the same ,,,,
