Got this text message on my cell: "Finance Center FCU Alert Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED.  Please contact us at 317-286-2737 to REACTIVATE your CARD".

I know it's spam, but WTH?

I got that same text last night.  I immediately figured it was spam because what credit company will text you that your card has been deactivated?

I received the same text at 8:23pm on Jan. 19, 2009.  I disregarded it as a scam because credit card companies do not text you unless you have that set up with them.  Plus, all my credit cards are out of state, you would receive a 1 (800) number if they wanted me to call them back.  It would be interesting to see who the hell is trying to get our credit card information.  Maybe we can call sprint or whoever your carrier is to see who the hell sent that text, but I definately wouldn't call them back, once they get a hold of you, I am sure they will call you all the time.

Just got a text with the exact same message as above but with a diff. phone number: 317-947-0333.  That number is the telephone number for http://tolliverbrothers.com/contact_us.html.  Weird.  Why would a construction company be involved?

I received the same message about the card (317-947-0333).  I did a reverse lookup on the number and it shows the address being right where an old liquor store used to be on Washington and S. Carrol in Cumberland.  Accross the street is a Dollar General.  I called the number back from my work switchboard and no one answered.

Got same exact message on Jan 19th 6:59 PM.

Just got the exact same message on my Sprint phone, but with the phone number 317-286-2830. When I did the reverse lookup of the number it's from Brownsburg and says it's a land line.

got the same thing but the number was 3317-286-2737. too many numbers. it's spam, but we blocked our phones from receiving texts from outside addresses and from text servers. WTF?

Like another post, I also got a txt message from 3317-286-2737 7:52pm tonight and yes I'm with Sprint too.

I got the text too like around 11:30 pm...who ever is doin that is stupid because why would you recive that in the middle of the night... I'm also with sprint and it sucks becausse I've received the text multiple times :-(
