Calls, but leaves no message.

Debt Collector - IMC Credit Services (mine is for overdue hospital bills)

Automated calls are prohibited without prior consent or unless a live operator comes on first.
State law prohibits robocalls unless the recipient has voluntarily agreed to receive automated calls or a live operator comes on first to obtain consent before the message is played.

This company is not allowed by Indiana State law to do automated calling. If you are called by them it is best to report them to your local police department for harassment and/or automated calling without your consent.

I answered but the other line hung up without saying a word

Debt collector agency. Lady called, and started asking questions related to privacy without disclosing what the call is about. Very weird.
After she got my address, she mentioned about an old bill which was already paid some time ago.
I told her it was paid, and requested her to contact the hospital. Then very rudely and in a harassing tone, she said, what's the problem. Why cant you pay it. Well I politely repeated that I have paid it already. However she insisted on why I can't pay it. Frustrated, I responded that I'm busy, and she really needs to review the case with the hospital. She threatened me saying she will report me and said she will keep calling me to bug me. Anyhow, reiterated that the bills were paid, and she should not call. In a threatening tone she said I'll still call, and I said I'll report her to the police. She warned me of my tone (really?) and said she'll note this down in her notes... I agreed and went along with my upcoming deadlines that I had to attend to. What a waste of time. I did call the hospital and checked, there were no more dues.
