Received two calls from this number today. The first at 4:48 pm and the second at 5:17 pm. Both times when I pick up the phone and say "hello," I hear a loud beep then nothing (silence) and the phone goes dead after about 15 seconds.

They say nothing

I continually receive calls from SSI via both this number and 318-321-5252.

Same experience as others who've posted. Same 2 numbers. Thinking it may be 1. a way of determining whether the number is valid or when people are home for future solicitations; 2. political call leads, been getting vmails from Vance 'Spitswap' McAllister's office in same area.
I'm curious though, how many of you are Suddenlink customers? Have a suspicion the company sells #'s to solicitors. Has anyone called these numbers back?

They just called and didn't leave a message. Caller id says SSI. I have gotten calls from SSI before but from different phone numbers.

They called but did not a message . Call originates from Monroe Louisiana.

Answered and they said it was Petco survey asking if I had made a purchase in Texas within the last 6 weeks. I just hung up.

Caller ID = (318) 321-5416.  Man did not identify himself, but said he was representing API, and wanted to ask me some questions about our pipelines and pipeline safety. I told him I was not qualified to speak on behalf of our company about such matters, but he continued to try to ask questions.  I told him I would not answer his questions, and do not call again.

Got a call from this number at my home that said out of area

Called my home and when I answer they wouldn't say anything. It showed my area code but said out of area.

Suspicious,my phone is through Comcast. I get the same calls as you do!! Comcast claims they have app to block phone no.s. Tried to get it and would not let me. Call Comcast back and couldn't or would not help me!!!
