318-390-2377 calls my house constantly, if i pick up the phone they hang up imediatly, VERY frustrating and would like it to stop

Called tonight at 8:55. The lady said she was calling for Purple Heart collection. I told her it was unacceptable to call this late at night. She kept arguing that it was before 9PM. Yelled even. I asked for her name repeatedly and she refused to tell me. She eventually hung up. She sounded drunk.

We have left things out for Purple Heart in the past, no more. Ever.

This number shows up as Bernice Poole and she is soliciting for Purple Heart. I spoke with at this number was absolutely harassing in nature, unprofessional, called at all hours of the day and night repeatedly, and by her rudeness and nastiness, will behoove me to never donate to this organization again. She did list a 734 area code local number to complain or remove the names from her call list. The number is on donatestuff.com.

This woman is an absolute menace. She calls me every few months, NEVER saying she's from Purple Heart, but is constantly harassing. She will call after 9pm, or will call in the middle of the day asking my family where I'm at, angry that I'm not home, and demands to know where I'm at. She says I need to speak with her NOW. She will not leave her number, nor why she's calling. I was assuming it was some bill collector by her demeanor, until I found out by tracing her down that she was collecting for Purple Heart, of all things. This woman has sounded like she's intoxicated, beligerant, badgering, and completely unacceptable to work for a charity.

I hate to think of the number of people she's turned off of Purple Heart by her calls. Beware of Bernice Poole!

I had the exact same experience as the above callers. Ms. Poole did not identify herself as Purple Heart, even when questioned directly as to why she was calling. She demanded to know where I was when my family said I was not home, and threatened to "keep on calling until she got home, no matter what time it was, because she had to speak to me NOW". She terrified my daughter by her behavior because we had no idea who she was or why she was so keen on my whereabouts. She said to my daughter, "I KNOW you know her, and you better find her right NOW." It blows my mind to think that I was about to report her to law inforcement, and stopped at this website first, only to see she is actually soliciting from a CHARITY? That's insanity. NEVER did she state she was from any charity. My whole family was so upset by her calls that I called her number back, and after many busy attempts, she answered and swore at me. What a lunatic! I will never, ever donate to Purple Heart after this.

I received, no joke, 32 calls from this number in the last few weeks. I would answer it live, and she would hang up on me. Then she would hang up on my machine. Finally several days ago I made my husband answer, and she asked for me. He said, who is this please. She said, "I don't have to tell you and you need to give the phone to her now, I know she's home and you're lying. Now put her on the phone". He refused unless she identified herself or gave her name. She refused to say who she was, or why she was calling, and hung up. So my husband called her back and finally reached her, and he said we wanted to be removed from her call list. She said, "Is this my credit card?" (what???). He said no, your call list...you called me? She says, "Yeah, did I not pay my bill?" Oh my gosh, she has a screw loose. So he finally got her to understand and she said, "Call the 734 number" and hung up. He called back again and said, what 734 number? So she rattled off a number and hung up again.

Imagine our horror when we called the number and realized she's soliciting for Purple Heart. Are you kidding me? Never did she say that, and she is harrassing in nature, and she should be reported to the police. She called us countless explatives, put fear and anger into my husband when she demanded that she speak with me and knew I was there, and I am disusted that she works for such a great organization. I agree with the above....we are NOT donating again, because of this.

We are scared, we are shaken, we are angry, and this woman should be out of a job. Why is Purple Heart not doing anything about her?

She's called me 42 times in 2 weeks. Every time I answer, she either hangs up or I can hear her tv or her family/friends in the background, and she is cussing at them, while I'm on the line trying to say hello. She sounds like she is tipsy, for sure. She doesn't say why she's calling and you can't understand half of what she says. When you ask her to stop calling or take you off her call list, she said no, that's what she gets paid to do.

I agree with the above; I'm shocked to hear she actually works for Purple Heart. I dearly hope they know she is soliciting customers this way. She should never, ever, work in this field, representing a fine organazation as that.
