This number appears on my caller id as Iowa Call several times a day and calls again several times every evening.  Don't answer most of the time, but when I do, there is only a dead line.  This has been going on for a solid week == who is it?

not sure, but been getting calls from them myself aswell, one search said call originated in clinton iowa

We have been getting about 10 calls a day from this number, and it started about a week ago as well. No one is on the line when I answer it either.

I, too, have been receiving 10+ calls a day from this number.  I finally answered, today, and got someone on the other end of the line.  He said it was an indie survey company.  I explained that I was annoyed with the number of calls, and asked to be erased from their list.  He apologized (explained that it is an automatic dialing system, so if you don't answer after 2-3 rings, it automatically disconnects the call...or hangs up, thus nobody on the line when you pick up), and said he would take my name and number off the list.  As to whether he really will or not,  I don't know.  I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Calls roughly every 15 minutes for a total of five so far this eve. No way am I answering any 00's

Getting calls from this number. Didnt puck up cuz the number looked wierd.

Can't the phone companies disable this number?  It is very aggregating, especially to my 80 year old mother.

I answered this call today and was asked by a computer if I wanted to reduced my interest rates on my credit cards. I wasn't interested but after recieving calls all day long I entered at the prompt to talk to someone. Once they answered I informed them I wasn't interested in their service and asked to be removed from their list. He asked me what my balances were on my cards. My reply was "It is none of your business." He replied F*** you". I started to say something again and he said "shut the f*** up" then hung up on me.
Sounds like a scam of some sort.

I answered this call today and was asked by a computer if I wanted to reduced my interest rates on my credit cards. Once some Non English Speaking IDIOT answered, I informed them that this call was being monitored and recorded for quality purposes. The IDIOT on the other said why I would do that. Once I told the Stupid POS that I didn't own credit cards and asked how he got my #. He then said that he worked for the FBI and was going to blow up my house if I didn't give him my info to lower my rate... After I was done laughing, I could hear him saying "Supervisor Supervisor" are you anywhere around he won't give me his information. Problem is you can't trace these stupid A$$HOLES!!!
