Robo-lady says  "Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program".
I like to screw around with these jerks, so I pressed "1". Got a very noisy connection to "Omar", who guessed I was just stringing him along and hung up non me.
From earlier experience with other scam callers, I suspect these people are not just thieves looking to pick your pocket but might well be Afghan or other militants out to do real damage.
String them along if you like, hear them out but do not, under any circumstances, give them any real information.
Generally speaking, if you're on the Do Not Call list, you can be sure that any solicitation calls you get are absolute criminals or worse.

Did not answer, their machine e left similar message to above.  My numbers up!

Didn't answer. Message said "Press 1 to speak to a live agent."

Federal Student Loan forgiveness? Unless they're willing to make it retroactive to '83...

Missed the call but knew it was a scam.. I did try to call the number after reading the above comments to mess with them, which I too love to do, but you can't call them... just a busy tone.. Darn..

I am on the Do Not Call lust so these calls should be illegal

I ignored the call and then a voicemail was left and it only said "goodbye"

Called my cell phone at work!  Mr. Number auto-blocked the call.  Thanks mr. Number!!!!

Caller ID showed this number and "Student Loan Assistance." Didn't answer; no message left. I haven't been a student for 50 years, and I don't have any student loans that need assistance! Scammers……...

Knew it would be a scam. I don't know anyone in Iowa, so I did not answer and blocked the caller.

Left VM garbled voice and said good-bye

Party didn't answer, they just hung up

Sometimes leaves a message that says something about loan reduction.  Asks me to "press 1" to talk to somebody.

COMPUTER VIRUS SCAM - Caller claimed the records show our machine "with Windows OS" was infected with viruses. I had to drag the Windows OS part out of this caller. After telling her that we don't run a windows box in this house, she wanted get off the phone as quick as possible to move on to next potential mark. Caller had thick (probably) Indian accent.

After reading comments, have no idea why they would call me..no student loans here or infected machine. I really dislike scammers! It is interesting how scammers use U.S. area codes, but numbers can be traced to cell #s in India.

"dave" calling about a federal student loan forgiveness. MY LAST CHANCE!. Guess I blew it.

Got a call from this number today but they left no msg. It's gotten so bad that I don't answer unless the caller is in my contact list. I got rid of my house phone for this same reason! Now cell phones are just as bad if not worse!
