- Jerry| 4 repliesThis is a major scam. He's good at tricking people, especially older people, into thinking he's there to help. He's persistant. You can read about him here. http://news.softpedia.com/news/AMMYY-Issues-O ... ms-288129.shtml
Note, he normally calls with caller ID of 767-275-9067 to spoof who he is, but you can sometimes get him to give you a call-back number but telling him your internet is down, or you need to change phones, etc. Calls himself "Roger Williams", "Zack", "Jack", "Michael", and other names. The website he tries to get you to go to varies as well.
This guy is a real low-life. I've just finished cleaning up his mess on a few people's computers (I do a lot of support) and I feel pretty bad for them. This guy should really be in jail.- Call type: Prank
- bob devaughanSaid my computer was infected and took control of my computer, said korea was using my ip. wanted to charge me $199.00 to fix it. showed me on my computer, that i had 56000 infection.
- Caller: windows
- john smith| 1 replythey are very help full.
- Caller: lt global
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jeeves replies to john smithAnyone who thinks your post is true should read the Microsoft website where there is a full description of this scam. What it says is that no-one should follow any instructions given to them by a cold caller who says he has seen that there is a fault with your computer. Microsoft say that no-one who calls knows anything about our computers and anyone calling like this is a scammer. This is what Microsoft say and can be checked out by anyone reading this.
- sam witwickythey are very helpful. I am very satisfied with their service.
- KathyI received about a month ago, the guys said he was from Microsoft and my computer was being infected, when I realized he wanted me to given him remote access t my computer to clean it up I knew immediately it was a scam. I told the guy I don't know what kind of scam your running and gave him a few choice words. Today I get another call, sound like the same Indian guy, stating the my computer was infected and he was going to clean it up. He called from a blocked number. I told him I didn't have time now, but to give me a number to call back when I'm ready. He gave 321 332-0208 and said his name was Micheal Sheppard. So glad I was able to find this number on the internet and just as I suspected, it tied to a SCAM.
- Linda Pendel| 2 repliesI was called by this company saying that they represented windows support.
I ask for a callback number which they gave me so I went through the process of fixing windows and then came the pitch we will give you lifetime support for $269 he was typing this all on my computer so that I could see the deal I was to get, when I said I would think about it and call back he blanked my screen and said if you don't trust me I don't trust you well ha ha on him because I would not give him my credit card number so I think I saved myself a lot of headache. Never ever give out that number to someone that calls you but wad still stupid to give him access.- Caller: ITGLOBAL
- Jeeves replies to Linda PendelWhile you were enjoying your victory was your computer still under the remote control of the caller? Did you know that they wait until after they have got remote access to your computer before asking for money? Did you know they do this because they know that most people will refuse to pay and end the call? Did you know that by giving them remote access you have allowed them to see everything on your computer, including bank details and passwords? Have you checked your bank account since the call?
- Janice Williams| 1 replyMichael was persistent about turning my computer on & fixing it. He did give me a call back number & wanted to know when to call me back. Just saying he was from Microsoft was the tell all. Who calls you from Microsoft?

- Floridian| 2 repliesWow, these calls are getting annoying! They call all the time and as most of you have stated, sounds like the same guy! I suggest, we waste his time as he has ours! Mess with him! Make him wait. Eat lunch while making him wait. Mix up everything he says! What a shame there are such Disgusting people like him out there! What happened to our world when people cared and truly wanted to help each other! If he put this much effort into a Real Job, he would most likely do really well making an Honest living! We are so hopeful that Karma hangs over his head and soon, something awful happens to him so he can't hurt other people, especially the elderly! He doesn't deserve to breathe air!
- Caller: LT Global (helping Microsoft)
- RENEE replies to Floridianwish I seen this before this happen to me. I am new to computers and internet. this time his name was Glen Wilson. - MaryThis is still going on. I had a woman with an Indian accent - "Jennifer from Microsoft" - call and tell my my computer was infected. I knew it was bogus, so I told her I didn't have time to deal with this right now and asked for call-back number: 321-332-0208. Sigh.....
- JudyThis scam is still going on... my 90 yr old mother just got a call from him....he said he was from Microsoft and her computer had been hacked. Luckily she didn't do what he asked of her (to go to some website) and instead called me.

- ericVery elaborate, showed me id #s and viruses that got my computer, couldn't tell it was a scam until they claimed Russian hacking and wanted to sell anti-virus software. Took control via very legitimate-looking tech support program box in green.
- Caller: claimed windows security
- dee replies to Jerrythanks. he almost had me
- Aminah replies to JerryTotally agree with you Jerry. This guy is 200% scam! He called my place of business not knowing that I am an IT and Network Security person. Pretty much told me he was calling from Microsoft and that someone was getting information from my computer. What a joke! I totally laughed in his here. Then I decided to amuse him for a few minutes before busting his bubble. He gave me a call back number of 321-332-0208 and said his name was Steve Williams. I told him that I would pass the information along to "Our" IT Team and someone would get back with him. Before hanging up, I mentioned that I knew he wasn't in the united states, he was a scam artist, not to call again and have a nice day. *Click* Hahahaha
