I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.

9:10am EST plcked up but no one answer.

"This is a call from 'Meps' (?).  Your account has been locked; please press 1 for security information....

10 :15 AM  no message

"Stay on the line for important information; your account has been locked."  This is apparently just another scam.  I've received this call previously.  I just hung up and I'm planning on installing an app on my iPhone 4s used to block these types of calls.

Just got a call from this number. A robo voice said "We're sorry, but your account has been locked. Please press 1 to talk to our security specialist." I hung up.

Just received a call.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Looks from the other responses to be a scam.

They just called me on Mother's Day, I was thinking that because it was a California call (which I was expecting from a new job soon) I answered. The said 'Sorry, your account has been locked, please press 1 to transfer to the security department", I did nothing, and they hung up. I am sure its a phishing scam and they would have asked for information.

323-209-2090 called my 86 year old aunt at 5:00 p.m. on May 12, 2014.  My aunt suffers with a slight touch of dementia.  The female caller said she was from Verizon and needed my aunt's debit card number and pin number.  My aunt  said the lady seemed very official and would not take no for an answer.  My aunt gave the lady her debit card number and accompanying pin number.  This shows how easily the elderly can be swindled.  My aunt had enough wits about her to immediately call my husband and tell him what had just happened.  We quickly got in touch with the bank straightened out the problem.  I called Verizon and they told me that Verizon would NEVER call and ask for someone's  account number and pin number, even if they were calling a customer.  Please be aware of this phone number and these evil people that prey on the elderly.
