Guy said he was from Direct TV. His offer sounded good up until he asked me to give someone else's info to be "A New Customer".  I hung up & called Direct TV. They had no record of anyone calling me. I gave them his info & they said "He's probably Phishing"...

Exact same thing happened to me, accept an hour before the call, I realized my direct tv acct was hacked. They are onv having security issues

I received an email from DTV stating my email address was updated. I had not changed my email address so I called DTV and they verified that my email address was changed. Then I received a call from this number from someone with an accent asking for me by my first and last name stating he was from DTV. I didn't go any further with the call. I called the number back and found that it's a Google Plus free phone number. Be careful I'm sure they are scammers trying to get money and/or information from you.

This guy is definitely a scammer, but he is very convincing, he even had the number on my Directv receiver card.  My email address with Directv has been fraudulently changed as well.  If you get an email from Directv with notification that your email address has been changed and you did not do it, follow up with Directv right away.

Exactly! This guy is bad news and full of it. I received an email that my email account was changed and I called DirecTV too! Something needs to be done about this. He is harassing my roommate for his information. Does anyone have any suggestions how to report it?

I just got a call from the same guy.  He said he was from Directv and that his name was Sam.  Thank you to all the previous posts on this website!  Luckily he gave me his phone number and I found some of his questions odd.  I searched the web for his number and found this website.  I, too, immediately called Directv and they didn't show any information of anyone calling me either.  I spoke to a Supervisor to file my complaint.  Everyone should call Directv to log a complaint so they are aware and can do something about it.
