This was the caller ID #, but the scammer gave me the call back number I've already seen on this site of 213-457-3846. The caller did say he was from Microsoft IT, and when I kept telling him the connection was bad and that I couldn't hear him, he got irritated! Keep your cool, scammer!! He said his name was David Albert, extension # 4928, and had a heavy accent, possibly from India or Pakistan, or somewhere else in that part of the world.

The Call Type was to "help" with my computer because it was "transmitting messages back to their company, and he would help me with its virus."

THEY ARE NOT SCAMMING TO STEAL FROM YOU MORE TO JUST SELL YOU OVER PRICED JUNK.

    Gotcha
Well...I guess I REALLY made the Scam-man mad after I called him a tampon head. Several f bombs were exchanged and he told me he was gonna fu-k me everyday, to which I replied that would be an amazing fete considering he was a tampon head and had no di-k.. He really got mad, then told me he was gonna find me and kill me. I told him that's what I was waiting for, so hung up on him and called my local police on my cell. While on the phone with my local police, crazy tampon-head consistently called and lost his marbles over the phone, on speaker, which is now forever captured on 9-11, and documented in a police case. Scammer-man, no...I'm not gonna reboot my computer, I know the government doesn't give out free money, and you don't get passwords, etc. oh, and by the way, the number and name you call is old. I just hate scammers. Have fun with these [***]...be smarter than them.

Indian guy called me on my cell phone today. Asked me how my new laptop was working and said he was from Microsoft. Said they could tell that malicious software had been downloaded onto my computer. I could barely understand him. He wanted to know if I was in front of my computer and if I could get online so he could help me.

I asked him who was paying for this service and how he knew I had malware on my computer, He said Microsoft could "see" when malware was installed. I said. "Microsoft can see what's on my computer?" and he said they could only see malware. Uh-huh. I asked him when the malware was downloaded and he said last week and I asked him for the filename and he said, "Rundll32.exe".

I'm so glad I did this search because they've already called me back 3 times tonight and I haven't answered.

Well it's the "Microsoft help line" scammer who is obviously trying to either scam with anti-viral software or get you to connect to an infected site... When I told him I worked for Microsoft and wanted to know what office he was in, and the name of his supervisor, if he knew Bill Smith, etc.... he hung-up...then called back immediately which I picked-up and left unanswered until he hung-up again.  Please pick-up his call and let him waste time figuring out you aren't responding, or engage him in a discussion about Microsoft stock value, or your brother-in-law who works for them, or some such nonsense equivalent to his own! If nothing else, that will slow them down a bit.

Do NOT under any circumstances fall for this idiocy or do anything on your computer that he instructs. I fear they are widespread scammers who prey on seniors home during the day since my neighbor complained of calls earlier this month and was wondering if she should do what they say since they are from "microsoft!" He actually wanted a credit card number to pay for the updates he was going to put on her computer!

This caller claims to work for Microsoft technical support. He told me that I and lots of other people have a bad virus and IE has sent many error reports that IE has to close down (this has happened many time with my PC) and he told me other things that were happening to my PC that were true, I didn't tell him anything about the problems I'm having, HE TOLD ME so I asked a few questions from a past experience I had help with, so I let him into my PC he said it will take about an hour to repair all the problems and not to shut my PC down or it will never re-start again. SO I watched him do a few things and then he went to WESTERN UNION and started sending money transfer's of 199.00 and 200.00 (not my money)to a person named PATRICIA LETTS in the USA from AFGANASTAN +  so I took some pictures of the 2 transfer's really quick and unplugged my PC, I waited a while, plugged PC in and on, he had turned off all my security, it took me a while to get security back on and did a lot of cleaning several times, PC seems ok for now,I got tracking numbers, I think I need to send this info to Microsoft and probably the police. I still get calls from that number but I wont be stupid twice.

Got a call from this number and an Indian guy told me he was calling to assist with my windows issue on my laptop.  I told him I did own a laptop so he in return starting yelling at me and told me I was a liar.  I asked him what company he was with and he then placed a "supervisor" on the phone that had an even thicker Indian accent and I couldnt understand a word he was saying...I kept asking him to remove me from their calling list because I knew this was either a scam or they wanted to sell me something.  He just kept talking about the virus my computer had. I eventually just starting laughing because I knew these people were nuts and hung  up the phone.

OMG yes you need to report this company!  They called me but I knew it was a scam especially after he called me a liar for telling him i didnt own a laptop.  Please report the activity they did on your computer to the police or you could be held responsible for these wires!

I've never encountered such a persistent fraudster.  Four times now he's called and this last time I decided to lead him on for a bit.  then I told him I use Linux and he's a liar.  I did report the number on the fcc fraud report website but no real expectation of getting this guy shut down.  It was a little fun. since It's been a rough week. to let off steam pulling his chain for a bit. Unfortunately there are too many people getting hurt by tards like this.

"James" first called posing as from yahoo security.  I asked for a number to call back but when I did, call went to a rewards center.  He called several times.  I only answered once or twice more.  Subsequently, there have been multiple calls from this number with no ring and no duration.  One showed as an outgoing call from him and my call log was altered, with legitimate calls erased.  Phone and computer exhibit evidence of tampering.  Frequencies may be being transmitted affecting health as well.  Wondr if this is not a front for something else.
