I called this number back and Barbara stated this was the department of legal affairs at the us treasury. Really?

Just got the same call for my son.  They said legal actions were being taken. When I told the Indian man ( officer Troy..yeah right) that I thought it might be a scam he said " ok. Hang up and wait for the police to show up in a few hours then".

Yes he is a scammer. I asked him to fax me the letter from the IRS and he refused and hung up saying "you can wait for the cops to come."

i also got the call from this number & reported it to the irs . the number is a landline phone in LA , this is a scam. So if you get any calls from this number report it to the IRS @ 1-800-366-4484.

Yep, he said he was from the Dept of Legal affairs, US Treasury and that I was going to be arrested so I told him "to bring it" and he hung up.

Indian accent saying that was from US Treasury and Fraud,  that I need to call his supervisor or be ready to be arrested

have called over and over and over so I answered phone said was from office of travis hall with legal affairs dept from irs, and was looking for my husband for back taxes, said we both had a warrant out for our arrest if I didn't pay in 3 hours, very heavy Indain accent.  I told him is funny has and American name and is calling from irs and had a thick foreign accent, got very upset and I was being rude, gave me this address and said to go buy vouchers there and they would need the pin and the verification number for funds so the warrant can get suppended, transferred me to some one he said was the irs adjuster, so I said cant get to place till after 6, he called back but I had already spoken to police department said was scam and do not go to place they said to go to because would probably rob or even kill me.  so he called back went into about being arrested if not paid, I told him I reported all information to police and he hung up on me

Got the same call today in a threatening manner. I called back twice but got a voice message only. Sounded weird. Glad I saw these posts. Thanks. Calling IRS.  I know that they will send a thousand letters before any action takes place. Hate that I gave my cell number. Will report immediately.  Thank you.

I have gotten several calls today from 1-323-515-5203 on caller ID it shows from "California" they came @ 10:06am, 2:05pm, 3:14pm, and then @ 4:43pm left a message from a strong accented person.
He stated he was from Legal Affairs and legal action was being brought against me. He said his name was Rick Stevens and that he hoped I would return his call or he would see me "in court".

Received the same call this morning, and same info…….that someone will be coming to my door within 2-3 hours to arrest me!  Thanks for info…..calling local PD fraud office and IRS!!!  I hope they get this [***], scared the hell out of me and I have NEVER been involved with the police or anything!!!  

I got this call today x 2 and he also called 2 days ago.  The guy says he is Rick Stevens but is obviously very heavily accented Indian man.  He told me that he would see me in court and that legal action is being taken.  What a nut.  I am reporting to the IRS right now.  Kind of annoying that he keeps calling back.

I also received this call on my answer machine yesterday for my daughter.  Caller had very heavy Indian accent and was threatening.  I decided to check out the number before I called him back.  Glad I did.

Got a call as well from a thick accent person, clearly it was a scam as they claimed they have taken legal action against me for not paying taxes and some crimes about illegally falsifying records and they were coming to arrest me, move me out of my house, and a bunch of other things, and I should hire an attorney.  The weird part is he just hung up after that threat, they didn't ask for money or any thing a typical scammer would.  Maybe they will call back wanting money?  Don't know.  Weird.

Got this call too...3235155203 Nick Walker from "dept of legal services"...said notifying me of legal action being taken against me.
Totally suspicious and now that I found this report, I am confident it's a scam.

Message left by "Rick Stevens" for my son today, he said he was from the "Dept. of Legal Affairs", no company named. Asked  us to call back within 3 hours, then said "Have a nice day!" Weird. I'd like to report this, since a similar scam worked on my elderly neighbor, she sent a money order for $500. to a PO box in Las Vegas.

I got the message yesterday, looked the number up online and found out it was a scam. I called back today and just messed with the guy for awhile until he eventually told me to "f*** off." Called him back and asked how he can sleep at night and he laughed and said "don't care" told me he'd ruin my life. I'm gonna keep calling because it's kinda fun.
