- SionA person called Steve? Asked was he speaking to the home owner. I replied in Welsh and told him that I did not understand English (lie of course) the longer I kept answering in Welsh the more abusive he got. After about 5 minutes he hung up. I hope this ploy works.
- Glen| 2 repliesThe person with a east indian accent identified himself to be a representative from Microsoft, and tried to convince me that my computer was uploading malware to some microsoft servers. About the time he wanted me to log onto a web address and allow him to remotely scan my computer to trace where the malware was coming from, I hung up.
- Caller: Microsoft (Not)
- Jessica| 2 repliesI am always getting unknown calls, but with the security app on my phone it usually tells me if it's sales, fraud, spam etc...so my phone just rang for the 4th time today...I answered this call as if I was in the middle of being railed..they hung up instantly. And of course I got a laugh.
- ATFRAUD! Automated recording claiming my Mastercard Debit card was locked and to please hold while they transfer me to a rep to help. I did not even wait. I hung up the phone. I don't even have a Mastercard!

- Caller: FRAUD COMPANY
- L| 1 replyGuy said I won a government grant of $7,000 which was obviously absurd. I asked him why I would receive a grant as I'm not in school and the "U.S. Grant Department" surely wouldn't just give me money for no reason and he said I had been selected for not having a criminal record in my city. They can't even come up with compelling scams these days!
- Caller: "US Grant Department"
- DavidThey called me yesterday telling me that I had a problem with Windows, called again today then called yet again.,
- BrandonA guy with an Australian/East Indian accent called me from three different numbers stating he was from youstarcash.com and never really stated his name. He got really angry when I confronted him about the legitimacy of the company and to speak with a supervisor. Then said supervisor came on and also got angry when I confronted him about the legitimacy of the company. The other numbers were 213-217-9999 and Unknown and 617-714-0762. I also searched the company website and it came to a page with other links for so called loans.
- Caller: YouStarCash.com
- elliecalller id said the call was from Los Angeles. I didn't answer, but as I have a family memeber in LA and another family member who is actively dying, I called the number back in case it was a necessary call. It wasn't. When I called the number back I got a recording that siad it wasn't a working number. Total scam.
- Caller: FRAUD / scammer
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DonEast Indian caller said he was from Windows and that my computer was generating a virus on to the internet. My daughter was here and called b. s. Told the guy there wasn't even an active computer in this house and if he ever called again he'd be reported for harassment.

The last time I talked to Jason he asked my age and would I marry him...you call the number back and it doesn't exist. UGH!!!!! Wish they could be stopped.
- KKA lady calling my cell on behalf of Central Air and Heating Co. knew my last name and asked me if I needed a yearly maintenance call on my air/heating. She sounded like she was in a call center. I really think it was just a sale call. I did not give her any information.
- Caller: Central Air and Heating Co.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- jjaa| 1 replyThere are two guys with foreign accent trying to convince me that my computer has some kind of virus... they have called me like 3 times. After the second call I told the second guy that I have better things to do and they kept calling again and again. I just blocked the number. Complete scam.
- Christy| 7 repliesThis was actually a legitimate call from the Democratic Congressional Committee fundraising operation. I think. Either that or I just gave my credit card info to the scammers. But if they're scammers, they're much more well organized ones than described in the other posts here!
They did say that they used a dialer system for their callers. I think that's the real story on this phone number. It's an auto-dialer number, and could be absolutely anyone on the other end.- Caller: Democratic Congressional Committee
- Call type: Political call
- ChrisRepeated calls within minutes, no message. From LA.
- Yvonne replies to Christy| 1 replyThat was a scam there is such person from the Democratic Congressional Committe that would call you and ask for your Credit card number. My advise to you is to have that card cut off and have one reissued.
