got a call from Leah Bruggeman for my mother saying she knew her from 1979 from the COS. Mom died yesterday and never knew a Scientologist. She knew my moms last name and married name too. Very disturbing as the girl seemed to be evading and mumbling. Knew she was up to something. The call came up as private but I asked her for her number.

The ONLY thing those people understand is TOTAL SILENCE. Whenever they call, pick up the phone, don't say anything, and just walk off. Came back in a half an hour and hang the phone up. Drives them nuts!

    - This is Church of Scientology's "Mailing Department" (?).

    - Several different people from the Church of Scientology previously called from different phone numbers. A very friendly female caller with a pleasant voice called from this particular number.

    - Keep in mind that the call may be monitored and/or recorded. However, the law may require that you are informed of this fact first before they continue to dialogue with you.

    - It was explained that they are "updating" their "computer files" and making sure mail is being received at the address in their files. Not wanting to have anything to do with Scientology over 20+ years ago (and asking to remove my contact information several times back then), they are now trying to contact me after all this time?! They really should just delete those old outdated contact information, instead of trying to search for and verify the people's contact information from years ago in order to update their old computer files/mailing lists to send them unwanted mail once again. It would be most considerate to many if they would just spend less time on their old lists, since it could be quite upsetting for relatives receiving such phone calls when they call to ask for people who have been deceased for many years. Perhaps they do not really understand that if people in their old database were still interested in Scientology, THEY would be the ones to initiate contact with them (not the other way around). Instead, for some reason, the organization seem to find nothing wrong with continuing to call, insisting on bothering people (even after being previously asked to be removed from their contact lists), and causing such inconvenience and frustration. They are indeed making their own organization really look bad to others, since more and more people are complaining (especially online) about their persistence and unwanted contact. It seems that they do not have a Public Relations professional/contact person in their organization to assess and restructure their Communications and Mailing Departments.

    - From other sources online, it has been advised not to volunteer any extra information to them, as it may just go into your "files" for their records. Also, do not let friendliness of the callers sway you into a personal dialogue, which may lead to softening you up for unwanted purchases and/or commitments to the organizaiton that you may regret later.

    - Instead, if all else fails and you continue to receive unwanted contact via phone and/or mail, do your own further research and consider what the writers suggest above [see July 11th from "Anonymous" and Oct. 13th from "(bleep)___ Scientology"].

    - Visit the website that was suggested above: http://www.xenu.net  and educate yourself with what this organization is all about and with the reports by some (including former Scientologists who worked in the organization) who have chosen to speak out and warn others. Be very cautious about their beliefs/teachings, because it is described by others (including those who were once involved in Scientology), as a "cult" that will try to draw you in and keep you under false teachings and various methods of mind control.

    - They were previously asked to stop calling for me at relatives' house (where I do not reside); and to also completely remove my contact information from all their lists, but they did not listen. And the calls continued. And continued. And continued. Several sources advise to not even bother speaking to them, because they won't listen and won't remove you from their contact lists. Sadly, this has been true for me. But I do not understand why, since it really is bad publicity for their own organization and cause. They have now boldly sent an unwanted item that was NOT even requested. Needless to say, after taking a photo of the package, it was immediately refused and returned back to the U.S. Post Office unopened.

    - I am praying that God would intervene; that they would realize to just immediately remove my contact information from all their files, and cease calling (especially my relatives' house, where I do not reside) and sending any further mail. But more so, I am praying that God would bless all these people who are searching for truth with the only "way, the truth, and the life": The truth is found in the Bible, which is Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior of His people, the only hope for forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation.

Three times yesterday, once today, and a list of 25 to 30 other numbers for them, that Scientology Church, and they have been calling our phone number for five years. I used to answer and tell them that they have the wrong person, but so far, listening, remembering, respecting, and being courteous and considerate aren't in the Scientology church play book.
Like I would want to attend a church with such nitwits?

I have been receiving phone calls from a lady from the Church of Scientology for the past couple of years, more recent in that past couple of months. They are looking for someone that shares the Name as I do, they always ask personal information and never reveling much of the purpose of the call, other then updating their records. I have explained that I am not this person they are searching for, yet they keep calling and each time they call they seem to have more information on me. This is scary, intrusive and plan harassment. The last time I received a call not more then 2 months ago, I once again expressed to the person on the phone my concerns and once again requesting they stop calling me. I then told her that if I receive another call that I would report them. Well just received another call, I asked for her name, and phone number, the lady said her name was Lisa, never telling me her last name, I said I would call her back. She called back less then 5 minutes later stating that I was sneaky in the way I obtained her information and was therefore rude, I had her on speaker phone with my husband sitting next to me and informed her of this, my husband then proceeded to explain to her that we have requested sevel times for them to stop calling, she cut both of us off to make sure she told us of how she believed our tactics of obtaining the source of the call and where it was coming from was rude, not forthcoming and said the I obviously was not the person they were looking for and would take me off their list ( never answering our question of, What list ? ) and hung up. I would like to know if any one has reported them to the local police or Los Angeles Police Department for the Harassing calls. I find it extremely hard to believe that a Church would go to such extreems. What is going on behind the scenes. My conern is Check your credit, make sure there is no ID Fraud happening

It is the Church of Scientology.  I am on the National Registry List of "Do Not Call."  I have told the people that keep calling and have asked them repeatedly to stop calling.  Yesterday, 10-13-14, I filed a complaint with the FCC.  Anyone interested in a class-action lawsuit?..:-)

Tired of these calls?  Here's my plan to "give back".  All you need is a computer with a fax modem.  USB fax modems are available from Amazon for less than $20.  Then let your computer return some of these calls.

Simply create a document in a word processor and then print it to your fax queue.  You will be asked what number the fax modem should call.   Make the document at least 20 pages long.  You can generate an empty 20 page document by simply adding 19 page breaks.  If you have a message you would like to send, insert it between the page breaks.  This document will work for any phone number but your message will only be seen if you send it to another fax machine.  The sci-freak headquarter's fax number is 1-323-960-3508.  You will probably want to send several copies of your document.

But don't stop there.  You can also send this fax to a non-fax phone number.  Queue up a lot of copies of your document to the other numbers listed below.  Your fax modem will become your very own mindless zombie robot dialing the numbers over and over and over.  Sound familiar?

    Other numbers to try:
1-323-960-350‍0  (this is the main headquarters number)
    1-323-960-3543
    1-323-953-3273
    1-323-953-3339
    1-323-953-3340
    1-323-580-5513
    1-323-580-5520
    1-323-386-5697

You can never get away from them.  Scientology will haunt you until you have No Address or Phone.  Sad but true.  Read Leah Riminis book. Loved it.

Best not to ever engage with the sci-bots.  They take screaming demands to be left alone laced with threats and profanity as encouragement to keep calling/mailing until the day you die and probably after.  They go to great lengths to get contact information and continued calling me after I changed my phone number to stop their harassment.  I live in hope that their sad little cult will die out.
