I just got a call from this number too. The area code is from LA or downtown Hollywood. When I called it back, a recording came on and said it's a non-working number. How weird is that?
This is one of a series of fake Caller-ID phone numbers from a company that's pretending to sell warranty extensions for your car. Don't give them any of your private information because they're con artists. They refuse to give the name of the company, using something vague like warranty services.
I have been getting computerized calls for weeks, both land and cell phone. It's getting to where I don't want to answer my cell. Most of them claim to be about an auto warranty expiration. Patently false, as my old rust bucket has no such perks. Sometime I get this number, which I have blocked, but usually it is a new number, which I have to try to recognize before answering. Sometimes I only get the number "1"
Just got a call, factory warranty running out. I've got another 5 years left on my warranty. Someone ought to talk to an "agent" to "buy" insurance and see just who it is that's doing this.
