This is a company calling from Los Angeles, CA claiming to be a "cable" company.  They won't leave a voicemail if you don't answer, but they called my number 3 times today.  When I did answer, they said that they were calling about my recent inquiry regarding cable, Internet, and phone service.  They told me that I wouldn't have to pay anything today, and went right into asking me what my address is.

I received this same call today 5 minutes ago.  They said it was a recent inquiry about internet service.  They were correct.  I did recently call Time Warner to ask about their internet prices. At first. this person was selling me an internet deal that almost sounded too good to be true.  $29.99 per month for 12 month of internet of 30mbps. He said that I would not have to pay anything now but still asked me for a credit card.  That's when i figured this is probably a scam. He later asked me if I was interested in Charter Communications internet.  That just confused me.  Not really sure if they are the same company but why would you be selling for two different companies in the same call. The person that called me Identified him self as Benjamin Lopez. He also said that the call was coming from Florida but 323 area code is a California phone #.

Kept getting calls from this number. Above comments are true. This is a scam, beware !!!!!!

Some one called me from this number after I inquired about cable services on internet. They said they are retailers of cable services. I asked them I am on DND so how did they get my number and the person immediately disconnected the call.

Just got a call from this number. Caller mentioned that I had been looking for TV, Internet, Phone service and could provide a great deal.
He immediately asked me for my address. I replied asking him to please take me off any call lists.

The caller hung up before I could finish my sentence.

Asked if I want some cable ?
Hung up on them, they can't call cell phones right?

I'm not sure how they got my number, but I suspect Time Warner Cable might have something ti do with it. I just cancelled my internet connection with them, and it I is upsetting if they sold my info to these scammers.

The said they were the U.S. Gov't and I was randomly selected to receive a $9,000 grant and the gave me another # to call to receive it. 2062012786

someone has been calling me from this number over and over and not leaving a message. i finally answered and the guy said he was calling from "discount cable services" about my recent cable tv inquiry (of which i made none) - i knew it was some kind of a scam so i gave him a fake address and went along with it.  after he offered me a 'great deal' of $89.99/month for TWC cable and internet i told him it was too expensive and take me off his list - he then started yelling at me "F*** you b****!, i'm going to burn your house down!!"  i was floored, I could not believe it!  it was kind of terrifying.  this company should be shut down.  

I did an inquire for internet with time warner, I live in a state where they don't have this internet available, I was just checking....

This number called and asked a lot of different questions about where I worked and if I could pay $2000 on an old electric bill that was never that high. Finally when they asked for my ssn, I hung up

Same thing. They said they were a cable provider and that I had recently inquired about service. I recently had Comcast come out to fix my modem, but that's all. I said "don't call me again" and the guy said "no, don't! ma'am, this is not about you, it's about me." Totally creepy.

I just received the same call. $9,000 grant for paying my taxes on time.

I am Hank, the second comment on this thread.  The same person called me everyday for the last week until i finally picked up the call.  After I told him that i was not interested, he literally said " I SHOULD NOT HAVE WASTED MY TIME ON YOU".  Who says that to a costumer?????

I finally answered a call from this number and the good ol' "foreign" accent on the other line (at least I could understand him) said they are from the US Government and I was qualified for a grant that I didnt have to pay back and wouldnt have to pay taxes on.  The hoops I would have have to go through to get all the details where nuts.  Dont ask me as I didnt bother to pay that close of attention.  I told them no thank you and asked to be removed.  He asked why I was not interested in free money.  I replied I dont believe this is a real offer, then more firmly stated to be removed from their list.

I just got a call from this number, and they didn't leave a message. I'm not looking forward to them calling again after what I've read here. Ugh.

They have called me 4 separate times today alone. I have not actually spoke with a person but I did call back twice and pressed 1 for them to take me of their list and they still called me and they called at 8:51pm which, correct me if I'm wrong, but last I checked they could not call after 8. And after reading some of the other comments I to have related this to my recent inquiry for internet through TWC. If this is how TWC treats there future and current customers then I'll stick with Windstream. And I hate Windstream so that's saying something.
