- KaseyWCaller ID = Los Angeles CA. Illegal robo call is from Card Services offering to help you "lower the interest rate on your curent credit card." THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO EITHER OBTAIN YOUR CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT INFORMATION OR TO SCAM YOU INTO SIGNING UP FOR SERVICES TO HELP YOU PAY OFF YOUR CARD BALANCE. Either way, you lose!

- Emily replies to Juli| 1 replyThe same exact thing is happening to me. I have had at least 2 calls a day as my "2nd and final notice" for the last few weeks. Finally couldn't take it anymore so I waited on hold to speak with someone who asked me if I owed more than 2,000 on a credit card, I said no, I want you to take my number off of this calling list. Then they hung up. What a pain, there's got to be a way to stop this, is basically harassment at this point.
- John-of-Lower-Merion| 3 replies(323) 943-1869 Robo call recorded 15 April 2015 ("Carmen at Cardholder Services...reduce your rate...consider this your final notice..." Credit Card SCAM)
Caller ID: "V0415151515550042" (based on date and time so no two recipients see the same Caller ID)

"Carmen" calling me back using a secondary call number after I blocked their primary calling number. I'm experimenting. Normally, I don't bother to block their calls because I recognize the number and ignore it. But by blocking now, I'm forcing them to disclose new secondary numbers when they call me back which I immediately report on web sites like this to help readers, like you.
The recording of this "lower your rate" call is exactly the same past calls but from a new number to avoid call blocking. The recorded message is their usual patter (see below) followed by a 7 second pause, then they say "good bye" and disconnect. when I failed to press any buttons.
Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethics, doesn't it?
Here is a transcript of their latest offering:
[female voice] "Hello, this is Carmen at Cardholder Services calling in reference to your current credit card account. It is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate. Please consider this your final notice. Press the number 1 now to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rate or press the number 3 to discontinue further services. Thank you and have a great day."
[7 second pause] [female voice] "Good bye".

- InNJ replies to John-of-Lower-MerionThey certainly are on an all-out campaign, aren't they? I've had close to 20 calls from 20 different numbers since the first of the month. Each number gets blocked, yet they come back with another one.
Thanks so much for compiling the list of numbers, each of which is most likely spoofed. I'd consider sending the list to the FCC but by the time they would get around to investigating, "Card Services" will have dumped these numbers for new ones. - just me| 1 replyI have nothing better to do so i stay on and talk to them and tell them lies. costs them the few cents for the phone call, plus whatever they are paying the dork i talk to while playing games on my computer. figured out through trial and error what numbers they are looking for. if you tell them you owe more than 15 k in credit card debt they hang up immediately. best way to keep them interested is say 8-9 k. then they will go on with the script in front of them. i have it on a speaker phone so i can just say "okay" or "yes" every time they pause. I can usually waste about 10-12 minutes of their time. and it does not interrupt my game play at all.
and they probably have sophisticated equipment. if the autodialer reaches a fax machine, the good programs will delete that number. this is good until they reboot their system to start all over , every couple of weeks. some of them use client list they have purchased, sometimes from phone companies. other programs just go down the line dialing numbers one after another until the go from 000-0001 on to 999-9999 for each area code. those are realy irritating when ou work at a business with a dozen numbers, all in sequence- Caller: consumer svcs

- Adrian Gomez replies to EmilyThere are two ways to handle this. The first is to buy a digital answering machine that announces the number calling you, if you don't recognize it then let the machine pick it up. When no message is left, you know it is a scammer. After 3 or 4 tries they give up. The second way to fight back this harassment is to go to a boat shop that sells portable air horns that boaters use to signal approaching boats. They look like aerosol cans with a horn on the ens of the can. When you answer them and get a live person give them a blast for 3 seconds and hang up. I find this very therapeutic whenever I have a bad day.Good luck and good blasting.
- CTkecI am in Connecticut and just got a call from this number. I do not answer if I do not recognize the caller-ID, then if they do not leave a message I assume they are a telemarketer and I block the number. So this number has been added to my blocked call list.
My phone number has been on the National Do Not Call Registry since August 2003 so if they are telemarketers, they are violating the law.
To block calls like this I got a Panasonic KX-TGE245B that allows me to block up to 250 numbers and/or area-codes. Panasonic has several new 2014 models that will block that many numbers. You simply save the CID to the blocked list. You can also block area codes by adding them to what they call a “Range List” (you are blocking the range of numbers starting with that area code).
There are several types of call blockers & call blocking phones. I suggest you get one so at least you only need to deal with any caller once. - LindaCredit card services...to lower interest. So sick of these calls!

- Jane GualdoniKeep getting calls but no one there. Aggravating. Carmen calls to with important call to lower credit cards. Please stop these calls.
- HNGUYENThey call me everyday.
I don't need any thing.
I am very old.
I want to rest. - VinnyI got calls from both Carmen and Rachel from cardholder services for months! Waiting to speak to a person and telling them I don't have credit cards and nicely asking them to stop calling (several times) didn't work to stop the calls. I then called back from my home phone I was receiving the calls at. After the prompt, I pressed 1 to be added to the do not call request. After 48 business hours processing time, the calls stopped.
- Punk 'Em Down replies to just meI agree totally - if enough folks punk 'em by giving bogus info and wasting their time, eventually they will get over-sensitive and start hanging up on actual suckers, making their business model totally nonviable. With these credit card guys, I like to talk very slowly in my 'old-man' voice and give them a totally bogus CC#. I have it written down so I can repeat if asked. This number has several '3's' and '8's', and I tend to get them mixed up when the first read-through comes back invalid. My record stringing them along is about 10 minutes, but the real artistry is sensing when they are getting impatient and are ready to hang up - I try to get in the '1-800' number on the back of my card. Mine, for some reason, reads "1-800-Do-Not-Call Registry"...Woo-hoo, great fun!
- B. RayburnI get continuous calls from this number. Each time they say "this is your final call." When I tell them to take me off their list, they hang up.
