Yes, they claim to be from the "hospital's business office" without identifying what hospital and why they're calling.  I had no hospital visits, so this is obviously a bogus call.  I'm reporting them to the FCC DNC list.

Yes - it is from Labcare --- if you have had lab work of any kind done, and the bill is outstanding, this might be the reason for the call.

They call me and when I answer the phone they hang up without saying a word

If it's a reputable company, why is there no name on the message they leave?

I agree - I don't know who these people are and it's an automated system leaving a message that can't even pronounce my name correctly. Why would they not identify themselves? esp. if they're trying to collect something?

Got this call today... Sounded like someone was listening but no one said a word and then after my saying hello several times... they just hung up. The caller ID says "BCH EDS"

We got the same message twice.  Just "hospital business office"  Waiting to see if call is returned

It's definitely not a fake number. That was Barberton Hospital's number before they came hooked up with Summa. You notice Barberton Hosp. still has a number ending in 4100. It's also not just for overdue bills/bill collecting. I've had calls from there that were legitimate and my friend just got a message from them. They cannot always leave personal information on a voicemail/answering machine - just like doctor's offices where you have to sign a paper saying they can leave detailed messages. Woman told me they are afraid to leave any personal information, even the hospital name, in case someone else listens to the message. If you think about it, it really is for your safety. If you are afraid to call I guess they will eventually get something in the mail but if you don't give out any personal information over a call it doesn't hurt to call and check.
