Just got a call from this number, no message-we are on do not call list

Call came from Illinois to Kansas at 10:28 hours CDT on 3-12-09. Call not answered and no message left. Other sites advise that this is the classic -we can lower your credit card rate- scams.

They were on my called id on 3/12 at 2:13pm and left no message.   We are on the 'do not call" list.

Conclusion: If the # is toll free or unknown or "state" call, We shouldn't answer, probably miss a call we ARE expecting, but eventually we will.

Got a call at 9:35am March 25 and it came in as Illinois call. Caller said it was from Jenny. Told to press 9 for lower interest rate. Didn't. Hung up.

First time today for getting a call from this number. Guess being on the Do Not Call List doesn't matter. Did not answer and no message was left.

Pre-recorded message from "Rachel from Cardholder Services". Presumably a phishing scam and the same outfit formerly known as "Heather from Account Services".

said it was from rachel. wanted to lower our interest rates. we do not have credit cards so would like to know who this is calling

call came in 4pm- recorded message about lowering rate on credit card. Pushed 9 to talk to a person. I was told they were with credit card services for visa and master card. I ask what bank they were from and she hung up. I tried to call the Atty General in Illinois and all the numbers were busy every time I tried to call.

I had a call from this number @ 10:45 am on 4/6/09 by a recorded person named "Rachel" asking me to press nine to lower my interest rate on credit cards. I pressed 9. I spoke with some woman that asked if I pressed nine to lower my interest rate. i said, "No, I pressed 9 to speak with a manager!" I then was transferred to a man named Dave who claimed to be the floor manager. He asked me for my name. I said, "If you supposibly know that I have credit cards and know how I can lower my interest rate, then surely you know what my name is as well!"...... Wow, how fast i recieved a dial tone after that. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION! I still do not have the name of the company, but I am working on that one as well.

from 1-331-000-3217 which I believe is likely a dummy number. about lowering int rates. I've heard from them before and asked them to put me on their do not call list. and they said they would. that's how trustworhty this outfit is. we are on all the do not call programs. ha I told them that before I could agree to business with them. (fat chanced!!!) I needed some info from them.....what city and state are they located in? on that they always hang up. legitimate businesses don't mind letting someone know where they are. and I fugure these creeps are on a quota/commission system and I have just wasted their time. and some day someone there will tell me their physical mailing address.

I also got a call from this number 15 minutes ago, 3:55pm , showing as an Illinois call and that they could lower my rates.  Asked them to send me some forms and immediately got a dial tone.

We received a call from 331-000-3217 yesterday (April 6, 2009) at 4:26 PM.  We didn't recognize the number and the callerid displayed "Illinois Call".

Recieved a call again today. I have contacted Ill Atty General and Atty Ganeral In Indiana. I have been told by Atty General Indana they can't do anything with out a company name. I have not heard back from Ill Atty General.

It does not matter if you are on the do not call list. This is a scam call. Keep them on the line and waste their time. With out not knowing who they are nothing can or will be done by your state.

Recording "Saying this is Rachel...it is important that you press 1 to lower your credit card interest rate..."

I get this call at least once per week. One time I pressed 1 just to see who they were. A guy came on and said "Are you interested in lowering your credit card interest?" I said who is this? and he hung up on me.

Complete scam. Do not give them any information!!

Just as with everyone else, I got this call (again).  This time I pressed "9" per instructions.  A lady answered and asked if I'd like to get lower rates on my credit.  I told her I wanted to have my number removed from their call list.  She immediately hung up on me without a response.  There has to be something that can be done to stop these nuisance calls!

Same as all the others reporting.  I get these calls so often that I should have the number memorized.  Jerks.
