I have traced this number to a Skype or VoIP account supposedly located in Demopolis, AL. The caller claims to be representing the "Anderson Law Firm". The only law firm in Demopolis with that name is Warren W. Anderson Law Offices and his number does not match the one from which I was called. There is an Anderson Law Firm in Montgomery, AL, but that is not where this call originates, according to four separate reverse phone number searches. Further, the caller is either from India or Pakistan and offers an Anglicized name, which is probably false. He tells me I have had a suit filed against my SSN pertaining to a payday loan that I allegedly had defaulted on, telling me I will "risk going to jail" if this matter is not resolved. I have no such loans in default. I have already done some research on this matter and it is likely that they got personal information on me as a result of someone I've done business with online selling my information. This is supposedly illegal but I have found that it happens. It may also be the result of a hacked system of someone I've done business with. I am writing however to warn anyone who gets such a call that it is very likely a scam and the ones calling trying to intimidate you into sending them money and/or giving them other personal information.

Yes this is a scam.  They just called me and I had the exact same experience - only they called me at WORK!  Which makes me furious!  But I hung up on them.  Good to know that others had a similar experience-not that I want to wish it on anyone.

These people have been calling me 10-14 times a day, they said that I wrote a bad check in 2008, I told them that I didn't have a checking account and it was a misteak on there part. They than said that I was going to be Arrested at work. I again told them I don't have a checking account my wife handles all of our Finance. They than said that I needed to pay them $3,600.00 via Money Gram or the police would be at my office in 30  minutes. I call the police in my town they said there isn't a warrant out for my arrest. I told the Please officer what was going on, He informed me that it was a scam is not send the money. I can't believe this is going on.

I get these people with the same message several times a week for about 2w months then it stops........Then will start up again a few months later.....

They just called me too telling me I was gonna be served Friday with papers about a payday loan and I told him in the nicest possible way to get off my phone calling me with some nonsense.

I got the same message last week so I call my local police department and I call a company that I dealt wig  before then ask them questions and they said that it is illegal. I have we been to the Be.tter Business Bureau and consumer affairs. my local police department said that they do not arrest  people with this type of thing and it's probably a scam .

i just had the same people call me numerous times and unfortunately for them, I happened to be standing in a room with police officers.  they think they can scare people with their tactics and threats.  its kinda hard to believe they would say they are a law firm when you can hear the rest of them in the background talking in whatever language they speak and laughing.  there are many people like this out there that try to do this bullcrap and unfortunately there are some people the scam.  the scary part about it is that they have our social security number and banking information.  I have closed my account and it is being monitored for any suspicious activity.  I hope these fakes get what they have coming to them, cuz lord knows they deserve it!!!

got a phone call at work from an Anderson law firm.  After reading everyone else's complaint about them, I just hung up on them.  It should be a way that the law or somebody can catch people like this and put them behind bars, or charge them some kind of way, because this is a form of harrassment.

I just received the same Phone call on my cell phone and at my WORK, They threatned to have my Job and that they would be serving me with a Warrent for my Arrest and that they would be arresting me for 10 Days. while the brought charges against me they also asked for 8696.26 payment in order to keep this from going to Court. They stated that this was for a Pay Day Loan that i did not pay from years ago. They also left threatning voicemails at my work. Which I will be sending to my police.station. I was so scared and upset. I hope they get what they deserve!!!!!!!!!!

I just received a call from this #, they left a voice message, which was unable to determine ANYTING they said.   I called the # back (from my Caller ID),  They claimed to be "Anderson Law Firm".  And asked my name.  I asked who they were looking for (as they called the main extension at my company and we employ  over 250 people at this location).   They said the name of the person they were looking for, who does not work here.  (I am in HR here, so I know the names of the employees that work at this site).   I told them that there was nobody here by that name, and then he started threatening action against me that if I was hiding the employee that they could have me arrested that this was an Emergency Legal Matter.  I told them to go right ahead and send the cops on over, that I'd Love to meet some cute cops!  

They disconnected the call.

unreal ive gotten same messaGES for a name i dont know so ive started to call them 30 times a day saying im from american screws you law firm and im sending police right over to there discret loctation that im tracking right now durin this call thats being monitoring for quality customer service...i think everyone sholud start doing this and watch how quickly these low life scammers dissappear

I  got a call today from 334-3414802, saying that he was from Anderson law firm and told me that I would be arrested tomorrow morning by the local sheriff if I didnt pay 540.00 for a so called payday loan I never recieved, he had a Indian accent and his name is Jason,not sure of his last name.. so glad to read these posts for all of you who was harrased by this same [***]. what can we do to stop this scam?

just to let everyone know i am a detective from the area where this phone number originates and there is no Anderson law firm. this number is a cell prefix and not a fixed number . this is a scam and do not give them any information.

claims there's a lawsuit against me - i am sick and tired of these idiots from another country calling my work and it better stop because these calls are being recorded

I just got the same call stating there is a claim being filed against my social security number and that i must give them more information about myself.  i told them do not call me on my work phone again or on my cell phone which they have both numbers.  They wanted me to hold while they transferred me to someone else but i told them cease all communication with me and terminated the call.

ive gotten 25 calls from this number threatening me with arrest for a loan i never made. this is something that needs to be dealt with. what a bunch of losers
