It was an SMS (text). The website is NOT apple. Don't fall for it. They also make you agree that they can resell and/or reuse your information.

Opps, the website was actually theipad3.mobi, not http://testipad3.co.

My father got a call from 347-205-7737 claiming someone he new was in bad car accident at some gas station in middle of no where. Tried to call it back, goes to VM. not setup.  Went on one of theses paid phone reverse look up site, found it was called from E. 2223 St./Bronx River Pkwy.  It seem to be 2 males with heavy Spanish Accent and spoke message in English and Spanish. New cell ping, now puts it at Cross Bronx Epwy and Boston Rd, so apparently they are moving.

I got the same message. He said if i wanted to "help my father"

He said my father was being held at gunpoint by his brother and if I wanted to help my father. I just hung up.

They called two more times and left a voicemail and the voicemail sounded like it was coming from a call center or something.

I got the same message yesterday about a car accident from a 347 205 #.  I knew it was crap so I texted back some profanities.  Then checked google because I wanted to be positive and it's from the bronx.  I hope a car accident finds them...
