Man with Indian accent called and told me that their company received an error message from my computer - it was about to crash! He advised me to go to my computer, which I did. Then he told me to go on the internet to certain places. His company was supposed to clean up and protect my computer. His name was Patrick Jones. When I saw someone controlling my computer, I turned it off. This person said that I would be charged $54.00 for this service. When I said I didn't want the service, he said that I had no options! I now can't get into My Space and I lost my bookmarks. I am going to have someone come over to help me figure out what these scam artists did to my computer and how I can get it back to normal.
A friend recieved a second call from this number yesterday ( March 15th). The first call that he previously recieved, they wanted him to get into his security settings. Thank goodness that he decided he wasn't comfortable doing this...
When I got suspicious and asked him what will happen to my computer he got angry and very controlling and demanding I put him on hold and he waited maybe 5 minutes I then bang down the phone on him and want on to scam someone else!
Claims to be on 15 Buffalo Street in NY. I did not check it.
today they called They had my name right and said they had gotten reports from my computor.(?) He said was clicking "send Error" messages. RED FLAG No errors here. I told Man with Indian accent no, he said isnt your computor running slow? I said no, it's fine. He said dont you go on (I think he said MY SPACE, or FACE BOOK I dont remember which one) No I answered him. I asked around int the house and noone was having problems so we took his phone number from him and said we will call if we have any problems and hung up. All to fishy. My advice just hang up dont even waist any of your time

It's pretty funny, the last two entries before mine are from the scammers!! One of their buddies just called me earlier and claimed my computer was running slow and was about to crash. When he wanted my IP address to fix my 'problem' I said 'goodbye' in a hurry.
I got a call from the supportonclick.com guys yesterday afternoon. they asked if my computer was running slow, my computer is really nagging me for quite some time with its speed, so I said yes.
The guys were quite helpful and friendly, and helped me to fix it in a few mintues. The machine is considerably faster now.
dunno scam or not, but i am satisfied with the service. And I don't get it, if they provide quality service in lieu of money, how can they be regarded as scammers?
Hmmmm...let's see, the last response said "heck, no! This is no scam!" Well, then why in the world would they be doing a reverse lookup on the number. Just got a call from these folks, and smelled a scam immediately.
Cleared the funny icons on my desktop. Uninstalled my antivirus, said it was a spyware and installed McAfee. Got help. They have been called scammers. I am scared.
Seems we are on the same boat. An Indian speaking guy called. I used this site supportonclick and checked all the services they render. I have registered for some services and have paid them a charge. They keep calling back whenever I face an issue. I dont seem to have any problem as yet.

SCAM? I am a bona fide client. I am receiving 24X7 support whenever required. Are you sure you are not trying to tarnish the image? There are many ex-employees from this company who were sacked for trying to make business in the wrong way. These ex-employees are trying to tarnish the image after being thrown out. I have personally spoken to the owner of the company because initially I was scammed too.
These folks are scamsters and are being hunted by law makers. Be on alert.
The guy called me!! Was very assertive about what he wanted me to do. I became suspious and he gave me the 1-800-698-9034 number and the 347-289-3770 number. He was a fast talker. I realized he wanted me to give up remote control of my computer so I refused to do it!!
I received a call from Patrick Jones, a man with a very heavy accent, telling me that the last time I downloaded updates to Windows Vista there were corrupt files that could crash my computer. I went through the steps with him to find the errors and warning marks. He then wanted me to go online so he could fix them but I only have one phone line. He insisted that I borrow someones cell phone to call him back at 1-800-698-9034 and then dial 3472893770 to get him directly. This all seemed a little fishy so I found this web page and read all the comments. Thank you all for stopping me make a big mistake.
I received a call this evening from a man with an Indian accent. He claimed to me my computer may have a virus in it and he was calling from Windows. He told me I had to follow his instructions so he could see if my computer had been infected with a virus, and that he had to get into it really quick that it could crash at any moment. He explained to me how to get him into my computer so he could control from where he was that he would be able to fix it from where he was. When he called I was online at the moment and my computer wasnt having any problems. Yet he didnt know I was online and was still prompting me to turn my computer on. I know very little about computers but knew this was very suspicious sense I never gave out my number to Windows. So I asked him how he got my number and asked him for his name he said it was Mondy Smith and number to call him back so I could see if it was legit. He then told me the number and I was going to call him back, and before hanging up he said something about his supervisor, but I didnt fully understand what he was saying exactly from his accent. So after hanging up the phone rang once again. I answered again because I was expecting a call and no number would come up on called ID and it was another man with a accent saying he was a supervisor and needed to get into my computer to fix it if it had a virus. I then asked him his name and he told me it was Nicholas, he had the same accent as well as the first man. I explained to him that the battery on my phone was dying and I would have to call him back as well and ask for his name and number his number is 347-289-3770. I called the company I have internet through and explained all this to them and asked if they knew of any such thing and they instructed me that it didnt sound right and asked me if I had done any of what they asked and I explained to him that I suspected it to be not right and didnt proceed with all the directions and hurried off the phone with them. These guys are very persistent, dont be afraid to ever ask questions and information. Be aware of scams.
