Caller ID had V plus a long string of numbers.  Must be credit card scam from Bronx, NY.

I just got this call and it was a very quick whisper that said "subliminal message."  Seriously!  How weird is that?!

I can't speak for all phone companies but AT&T has "Call Trace"  Correct me if I'm wrong but after two traces, the offender is sent a letter....assuming, of course that they can actually trace it.  On the third attempt, law enforcement is involved.  The "Do Not Call" list doesn't seem to have much success but maybe the phone company will.

When we were called, my daughter said it was a wierd man's voice on the phone. When I got it, he was gone. I checked and saw that they called 4 times today while we were out. A call back resulted in a busy signal after a few minute wait. Jerks!

Got call on 9/12/2012 no one said anything.

they kept calling me all day long. I finally answered with tons of noise in the back ground she says my car is out of warranty and wanted to know how many miles were on it. i said i don't no and she hung up!

Rings my phone couple of times a day and when I answer it hangs up.

this number called several times and when I returned call, the number was out of service...

Called and asked about my car, told me how my factory warranty had expired, he asked me how many miles I currently had on the car. I told him it was none of his business, I was not interested. He told me it was his business, that is what he does. I told him again I was not interested and he called me a "[***] loser".

Several calls from this number.  They ask to talk to my husband.  When I asked if I could help he said no.  I told him he could not talk to my husband if he couldn't talk to me.  He said he would call back a thousand times if that is what it would take to talk to him.

why am I getting calls from this #?

Received a phone call from this number.  Was asked if he could talk to my husband.  When I asked it I could take a message he just said no.  Then I hung up.  This was the second call from this number today.

Has been calling daily for over a week.

Received a call from this number this afternoon. Answered the phone - caller ID indicated call was from out of NewYork. Man advised that the warranty on one of our cars had in fact not been extended. He said this was based on information he had in a "file." He then asked me to tell him how many miles were on the car in question, and I immediately told him to look that information up in his "file." He laughed and said that would not be possible because his file did not have that information - so, I apologized for his poor file and explained that I had no desire to give him that information over the phone. It is obviously someone trying to sell extended warranty packages for automobiles - and I believe all of these are mere scams. I am on the DO NOT CALL list, and I must say I am of the opinion that that list is no longer worth much - much like what we have currently sitting in the US Congress.

I have answered calls from this number 3 times in the past two days; caller doesn't say anything, just hangs up.

Receiving calls from this # 3 to 4 times per day. I try calling back but it says "the number you have dialed is not in service, please check the number and dial again". Seriously... these [***] have the nerve to call me that many times in a day but can't even leave a legit number for me to call them back!!!

This number called me and asked for me by name. Then after I verified that I was the person they asked for they hung up.

Probably some type of identity scam or something.

Received a phone ccall from this number, a woman drunk voice.
What strickes me was the fact that she mentioned my car, Honda civic and I'm not from NY,
I'm from the South

Caller was trying to push car warranty scam, I told him he was full of sh since I haven't had that car for awhile and hung up. He called back a minute later and I informed him of Do Not List and that I would take legal action if he called again. Within a couple minutes he's leaving a voice mail that he knows where I live and he's coming to get me. I made a police report, call trace and call block. Tomorrow I'll be reporting this to this to some other freinds. Really bad move on this caller's part, threatening someone

She called three days in a row with severe background noise and hand ups.......today 9/28 She stayed on the line and I informed her to not call again!!!
