Okay I got a call from this number ealier this morning. My fiance & i tried to get info: here's what happened: they said i took out a loan w/cashnetusa. so we called that company. i have never taken loan out w/ this company. also gave me name of bank i used...but i never used bank they say. I'm in texas. Bank they gave me is located in oklahoma. also they say they are the ftc. fiance & i got smart & called saying okay we are going to send u a check(not really) & when we ask who to write it out to they say "leave it blank"

We asked to talk to supervisor & man(aaron thompson) says supervisor is in meeting so we ask to speak w/anyone else he says "no I'm only one you can talk to"

We are working on getting these people caught. DON'T AGREE TO PAY THEM A DIME. what legit company tells u to send them a check but leave the recipient line blank??

we just got the same call...said there were 'serious issues' with my husbands SS#....told him bs, my next call was going to be to the local police...same guy calls back with it coming up 'unknown 911'...i just got off the phone with the police....i'm making reports with them and the attorney general's office. they have even tried calling my husband at work and making trouble

I also got a call saying he was officer thompson that there was serious situation with my ss# n that i could be arrested... Which is bs so i will file a police report here in california

Caller said he was Officer Steve Johnson from FTC Federal Trade Commision.  Heavy Indian accent and said I had very serious charges againts me and my soc. sec. number.  Has called me three times at work and at home.  I hope someone nails this company and person.

Officer Arron Thompson called me from the same number claiming to be an ftc officer. He said that I had taken out a loan of $300 last year from USA pay day cash advance. I've never heard of these people and I've never taken out a loan. I called the FTC and they did not know who this person was. Be careful when putting your info online. These people are sharks.

I just got the exact same call!!! They also called my boss! Please let me know if you need any information from me to catch them. He told me I would be arrested and taken to jail if I don't pay in 24 hrs. Then he transferred me to AARON THOMPSON who said the same! I laughed at him and told him good luck arresting me with a fake dollar store badge!

I just got the exact same call... But it was on my voicemail... Yesterday I got a call from a different number and the guys name was Micheal Johnson and he was a attorney and said that a officer was at my place of employement to arrest me and I laughed at him at that point because it is hard to be at my place of employeement when I do not work and I am a stay at home mom that is raising 3 children and going to college fulltime for my Associates... I called his scam and he stopped calling and now today he starting back up again... CAN'T ANYONE DO ANYTHING TO STOP THIS GUY??? In the beginning of all this yesterday I thought my ex husband had used my information and screwed me and now I was really in trouble and I went into a anxiety attack and thank goodness my brother was there to help calm me down or I would have ended up in the hospital... This is crazy... I guess I will have to change my cell number...

If I can help catch him in any way please let me know I will be more than happy to help... He really needs to be caught and stopped before he really hurts someone worse than he already is...

I have been being harrassed at work and on my cell from these people. They are also calling from a Texas # 210-401-3930 as well. Different man but same Indian voice. I thought calling the place of busines was illegal to call to collect a debt. I do not recall takin a loan out from them either and he sayd it was from last year. I do not even have a bank account other than a savings anymore. Do not send these people your money!!!!!!!

I just got a phone call from the same exact number telling me that he is an officer officer Alice Cooper he gave me some bogus ID number stating that he works from New York gave me the address I typed it in that goes to a New York abuse hotline for children people are crazy these days trying to get you to send them a check saying you all these moneybut to leave the check blank who does that I called FTC and let them know I called the attorney general's office and let them know what's going on here and I placed a report with my local police department I'm really working hard and getting these people arrested

Calls from area code and number 210-401-3930 show that is from the San Antonio Texas area code.  The 210-401-3930 is associated with Don Parker and he (if that is his real name) has committed company identify theft against a Federal Credit Union and is a scammer.

Consumers targeted by the scam typically are looking for a payday or short term loan and search the Internet for assistance.  They voluntarily place their personal information on these independent sites (not recommended) and then receive an email from one of the aliases above from e-mail addresses located at valoans33allservices@gmail.com , valoansservicesallcare@gmail.com or some other variation indicating that the potential victim has been approved for a short term loan that is affiliated with companies that the scammer has no association with whatsoever.  They include a non- authorized logo and wording in the e-mail, but no direct hyperlink to the company’s legitimate sites.  Consumers who respond by telephone to the offer are then told that in order to receive the loan, they have to pay for either an upfront fee, taxes owed, processing fee, etc., in the form of a MoneyPak or Pre-paid credit card including Vanilla Network cards.  We advise against paying any upfront fees.   We strongly suggest that you contact local law enforcement to assist in stopping these fraudsters.

Aaorn Thompson keeps calling me from all these phone number threating me, that i would loose my job and i will get picked up on legal chargers.

Received call from Mr. Black, an FBI officer. Was threatened with arrest if I did not send money in the form of a prepaid card.

They are scammers. I just got a call from them. For everyone they don't get money from they have a few they do. I ask for what court and call that court. Nothing there. One number these [***] used was from a marine post in Cali. Have nor checked this one.

Just got the same call his name was officer john walker said there was acomplaint against my husband and his social security number . I called the FTC and they never heard of him .this is a scam don't give them any info .

Is it not illegal to impersonate a federal officer?  I got a call from officer Aaron Thompson with the FTC. When I asked for a copy of his credentials he tries to back peddle to let me know that this call is about the legal trouble I am in and not about him proving himself. Although he has not physically threatened me he has threatened to cause me to lose my job -which is a personal attack against my wellbeing.  Isn't all of this illegal and what can be done?
