LOL whenever someone calls me like that  I tell them the person they are looking for is 2 months old and it would be pretty hard for them to owe a debt. They don't know  what to say and hang up.

I received a call from a Mr.Taylor saying I was under investagation. He had an Indian accent and I know his name is not Mr.Taylor. He said he would call my job and I said go right ahead. I told him I knew this was a scam  and that I will be reporting him to the FTC. I also told him that my lawyer will be calling him if he ever calls me again. Its scary becasue they have our information.

I had an indian guy call me 2 times and leave messages saying that i need to call him back today because i am under investigation for fraud and that if i dont call him back today then he will have the police at my house and work to arrest me.  yeah right.  he also said that he was a detective not sure of his name that he called himself.  a detective wouldnt call ahead and warn you that they are coming. im not stupid.  im not giving them a dime and they can stop calling or i will find a way to sue their [***] off.

i had someone call me 2 times saying they was investigating me for fraud and he was from the new york police deportment. he went as far as to call my employer and talk to my boss i want them stopped please!! i could have lost my job cause my boss thought i was involved in fraud . he said i made a payday loan and didnt pay it back so i would have to pay 680.00 to stay out of jail and keep my name clear thanks

today a indian man called me stating his name was frederick wilson from the dept of financial investigations and that  i was under investigation for violation of banking regulation, check fraud, and theft by deception. he told me i could pay the money i owed (410.00) outside of court or i would have to go hire a lawyer and possilbly do jail time. He gave me all of my information including my ssn. when i tried to ask questions he would just keep talking so i hung up. he called back a few hours later and left a message saying his name was robert something...Now i KNOW this was a scam...i kinda hope he calls back tmrw so i can yell at him!!! do not fall for this crap...his caller id says WPI, Group inc...DONT ANSWER!!

The same thing happened to me today. They called me at work and threatened that if didn't pay them $410 I would have to go to court and possibly go to jail. He said it was for an unpaid loan and when I told him I've never taken out a loan in my life and he'd have to take me to court he hung up. Huge scam.

I got the same phone call on my job today, he told me it was about a check cashing place that filed so I asked him for the number to call him back, he told me not to call him. So when I got home this evening my husband told me someone called for me and showed me the number and it was the same number. I call back to talk he then explains that I was under investigation and that if I pay $480 it can be resolved or go to court. So I started asking him questions and asked when was this check written, now when I asked him when I was at work he told me 3 months ago, when I got home he told me 6 months ago. I told him he lying because I don't use check cashing places, and that I'm not stupid. So I told him to mail it to me since he told me my address. He kept on saying are u gonna pay it? I told him I'm not a dumb ass I'm not sending no money if there is nothing written and in my hand. He hung up. So I called him back and asked him his name he told me Patrick Wilson. I told him your lying you told me u was Taylor when u called me at work. Plus u speaking with a hell of a accent to be name Patrick Wilson. He hung up on me again. I called him back asking what is you badge number because I have an uncle who is a detective in new york. He just started giving me numbers. And hung up. He didn't like it when I was asking him the fourth degree.
